Wildflower Traveling Vet, led by Dr. Dixon, stands out as a unique and invaluable resource, specializing in providing dignified and peaceful end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. This article is designed to help local pet parents understand the specialized services offered by this women-owned business and why their approach is so highly regarded by the community.
Wildflower Traveling Vet is not a traditional brick-and-mortar clinic. Instead, it is a mobile veterinary service that brings professional, gentle care directly to your doorstep. Dr. Dixon and her team have dedicated their practice to making one of life's most challenging transitions as serene and stress-free as possible for both the pet and the family. The core philosophy of this practice is to honor the love shared between a pet and their owner by creating an environment of peace and familiarity during their final moments. By avoiding the stress and anxiety that a trip to a clinic can cause, they allow pets to pass peacefully in their most loved and comfortable surroundings.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Dixon and her husband, are kind and caring. They came to our home and gave our 12 and half year old dog “Bear” a peaceful passing! When Bear was diagnosed with a Terminal cancer that caused so much pain and discomfort, I was so distraught with the thoughts of loosing him, yet I knew it wasn’t right for him to suffer. My husband and I also knew we didn’t want to put Bear to rest in a sterile room, in an office environment, we didn’t want to stress him out. Our home under the pine trees the place he loved so dearly was the right place to say our see you soon to him. I am so grateful we found Dr. Dixon; Her and her husband showed Bear, and our family so much support and Love during this time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Wildflower! Thank you Dr. Dixon and Stewart for everything! ❤️
March 12 · Miranda DaltonI'm so glad to have been referred to Dr. Dixon. She and her husband were so compassionate from the first contact through all the thoughtful and caring touches throughout the experience. Having them come to my home created the most peaceful possible passing for my Luna. My heart is broken, but I'm grateful she's no longer in pain. I have my mother's sick elderly cat, and it's a comfort to know that when the time comes, they will help create the kindest passing for Blackie, too.
July 31 · Pamela Wood BrowneFrom talking to Stewart on the phone to Dr Lindy's care of not only helping Klondike cross the rainbow bridge, but helping me let him cross was a very blessed experience (as hard as it was). Both Dr Lindy & Stewart were extremely compassionate, not only Klondike, but also with me. If & when you need to help your furry loved ones cross the rainbow bridge they are the people I would call to help. There is truly not enough words to how they made me feel during this journey. Thank you Dr Lindy & Stewart
October 21 · It's MeDr. Dixon and her husband showed incredible compassion when it was time for our beloved Black Lab to cross the rainbow bridge. They took their time to explain everything with patience and kindness, always treating our baby with love and dignity. Even after she passed, they continued to call her ‘friend’ and cared for her as if she were still with us. If you're ever in need of a vet to guide you through saying goodbye, I can't recommend them enough—they provide the most gentle, heartfelt care.
April 19 · Judy holtMy review is late but not by choice. It mainly because these amazing people deserve the best words to describe them. Which there are none so I’ll work with what I have.In early March which I can narrow down to the exact hour I had to decide by myself to put my furson down. Jasper, he was 16 and barely a month shy of 17th birthday. We were watching King of the Hill together as we have done since he was toddler. I was packing because we were due to put my house up for sale. My goal was to find him a bigger yard. That would never come. He had problems for a while but this time was different. Yes a mother knows their child. He stopped eating which my chihuahua loves food more than a dishwasher. He didn't want to be touched anymore which he loved cuddles. He began to scream and could hold his private times. It scared me so I immediately went to look for another emergency vet online. However I knew what needed to happen. He was leaving me. It was a Saturday night when I made the call to Wildflower and spoke with Stewart. He texted me immediately that he would called me back later on the evening and listened to EVERY word I said. He explained EVERY part of what needed and didn’t hang up until I was ok. I met with him and his lovely wife the next day and they just let everything happen so organically. They didn’t scare my baby when he was ready to go. Dr Lindy was so patient and gentle to by son. No rush. I was scared, guilty and traumatized I never had a pet before and dreaded this day. They made everything ok. Immediately became family and even offered everything they could including food and friendship. Mind you I’m private. It was just me and my animals. They checked on me and even talked to me after Jasper left. I was definitely not ok mentally and they offered everything they could to make sure I had the right resources handle my loss. It’s been almost two months now. No I’m not ok but this time is for me to figure out but I’ll never forget their incredible kindness. If you choose Wildflower for your pet you won’t regret it. Not at all. I promise they are worth every amount of time and every penny. Which they don’t even dwell on payment. They care about YOU AND YOUR FURCHILD. They treated Jasper with such dignity. As I look back I made the right choice. I also have a furDaughter, his baby sister, and if God forbid I need them again, hopefully not anytime soon for that reason, I will NOT hesitate.Thank you Stewart and Dr Lindy from not only easing Jasper’s struggles but easing mine. I’ll miss my baby but he and I were in the right hands.God Bless you for eternity,Kristal
