Upstate Veterinary Specialties Reviews
There are no words strong enough to express my gratitude to the team at Upstate Veterinary Specialties. Over the course of just one month, my cat Mama faced nearly every medical crisis imaginable. In total, I spent over $30,000 on her care, and I can honestly say it was worth every single penny. Because of their efforts, Mama is now home, healthy, and back to being her wild, mischievous self.I want to especially thank Dr. Arnold and Dr. Scott. At one point, when Mama’s anemia worsened and she was being seen by an ER doctor unfamiliar with her complex case, euthanasia was brought up. I was devastated — not because I feared saying goodbye if she were truly suffering, but because I felt like she wasn’t done fighting. I could see it in her. Still, I began to doubt myself, afraid I was letting her suffer needlessly.Thankfully, I chose to hospitalize her again. Dr. Arnold noticed Mama was back in the ER and — on her day off — reached out to Dr. Scott, one of the ER criticalists, to discuss Mama’s case. Their advocacy and medical expertise are the reason my little girl is still here. Their willingness to fight for her when she couldn’t fight for herself means more than I can ever put into words. I will forever be grateful for the dedication and determination they showed. To everyone at UVS who cared for Mama — thank you for saving her life, for listening to me, and for treating her like the beloved family member she is. You gave us more time, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

Jul 02, 2025 · Haley Van BellinghamAlmost a month ago I had an emergency with my favorite chicken (Burnt Chicken Nugget) and I needed to have her euthanized. Right after walking in I was brought to a quiet room where I could spend time with her. There was a bit of a wait, but at 8pm at an emergency vet office, I didn’t expect it to be quick. The entire staff was SO KIND, even charging my phone for me since I forgot my charger in the chaos of getting out the door. (I needed gps to get home & was an hour away from home)Everyone was so kind and understanding and didn’t make me feel ridiculous for bringing a chicken to the vet to be euthanized. Fast forward to today, I received a really sweet hand written sympathy card from the office.I would 100% bring my animals back here especially in emergency situations.Thankyou for being so kind and sweet to me and my girl
May 06, 2025 · Ashley BaeckmannThis was our sweet boy Moon who we just unexpectedly lost. He passed away at this hospital about one month ago and was supposed to be cremated. We call today and see what is going on and our dog has been sitting in a freezer and they will not touch him or give him back to our family until we pay them $4500 on top of $3000 that they have already received. This was never stated to us and very disturbing that a passed animal would be withheld from his family over money. Using death for financial gain is gross, like these vets don’t have enough money. Spare me. Lawyers are being contacted.
