Medford Pet Clinic Introduce
For pet owners across Massachusetts, particularly those residing in the vibrant community of Medford and its surrounding areas, finding a veterinary clinic that balances quality care with affordability is a significant consideration. Medford Pet Clinic, located conveniently on Main Street in Medford, MA, presents itself as a local option aiming to provide accessible and compassionate veterinary services. This clinic strives to offer a range of essential pet healthcare, emphasizing care for animals at costs that are designed to be more reasonable than many other veterinary establishments in the region.
The philosophy at Medford Pet Clinic, as indicated by client feedback, centers on a genuine concern for the well-being of the animals they serve. Led by professionals such as Dr. Olga, the clinic aims to create an environment where pets receive the necessary medical attention without placing an undue financial burden on their owners. While the spectrum of services aligns with general veterinary practice, the clinic's focus on affordability aims to ensure that more pets in Massachusetts can receive the regular and urgent care they need to lead healthy and happy lives. This commitment to both animal welfare and economic accessibility positions Medford Pet Clinic as a noteworthy option for local pet parents.
Medford Pet Clinic is conveniently situated at 391 Main St, Medford, MA 02155, USA. This address places the clinic on a primary thoroughfare in Medford, making it highly accessible for pet owners residing not only in Medford itself but also in surrounding Massachusetts communities such as Somerville, Everett, Malden, and Winchester. The clinic's location on Main Street ensures straightforward navigation, whether you are coming for a routine check-up or a more pressing appointment for your beloved pet.
The accessibility of Medford Pet Clinic is a notable advantage for Massachusetts pet owners. Being centrally located in Medford means less travel time and greater convenience, which is particularly beneficial for busy schedules, for pets who do not travel well, or in situations requiring more immediate attention. The presence on a main road also typically provides easier parking access compared to clinics tucked away on side streets. For families in the greater Medford area and beyond in Massachusetts, Medford Pet Clinic offers a practical and easily reachable option for their pet's veterinary care needs, emphasizing local service and ease of access.
Medford Pet Clinic, as a general veterinary practice, provides a range of essential services aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of cats and dogs. While specific detailed service lists are best confirmed directly with the clinic, typical offerings at such a practice generally include:
- Comprehensive Exams & Preventative Care: Essential yearly wellness exams to monitor overall health, catch potential illnesses early, and establish a baseline for your pet's health. This includes routine check-ups for puppies, kittens, adult, and senior pets.
- Vaccinations: Administration of necessary vaccines tailored to your pet's age, lifestyle, and exposure risks, protecting them from common infectious diseases.
- Pet Illness & Urgent Care: Diagnosis and treatment for pets that are sick or in need of immediate attention for non-life-threatening conditions. It's often recommended to call ahead for urgent care visits.
- Dentistry: Services for maintaining oral health, which can include dental exams and professional cleanings. Good dental hygiene is crucial for a pet's overall health.
- Surgery: Performance of various surgical procedures, ranging from routine spay/neuter operations to soft tissue surgeries like mass removals or laceration repairs. Anesthesia and monitoring are typically part of these procedures.
- Basic Diagnostics: Utilizing in-house or external laboratory services for blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests to aid in accurately identifying health issues.
- Parasite Control: Providing recommendations and products for the prevention and treatment of internal and external parasites such as fleas, ticks, and heartworms.
- Microchipping: A crucial service for permanent identification, greatly increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their families.
- Grooming (Limited/Specific Procedures): While not a full-service groomer, based on customer feedback mentioning a "quick shave," the clinic may offer specific grooming procedures, particularly those with a medical necessity or as part of a treatment plan.
The clinic’s aim to provide these services at “more reasonable” costs suggests a commitment to making necessary veterinary care accessible to a broader range of pet owners in Massachusetts.
Medford Pet Clinic, particularly under the care of Dr. Olga, presents a mixed but instructive set of features and highlights that are important for Massachusetts pet owners to consider:
- Compassionate Care by Dr. Olga and Staff: A significant highlight is the genuine care expressed by clients for Dr. Olga and her team. One reviewer emphatically states, "I love Dr. Olga and her staff at her pet clinics. She cares about the animals..." This personal touch and evident concern for animal welfare resonate strongly with pet owners.
- Reasonable Costs/Affordability: A major draw for the clinic is its pricing structure. The same client noted, "the costs a way more reasonable than any other vet in the area." This focus on affordability makes quality veterinary care more accessible, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious pet parents in Massachusetts.
- Caring and Attentive Approach: The positive review suggests an environment where the staff are attentive to the animals' needs, fostering a sense of trust and comfort.
However, it is also crucial to acknowledge contrasting feedback, which points to areas for consideration:
- Concerns Regarding Service Delivery/Expectation Mismatch: A strongly negative review indicates a significant disconnect between client expectation and service received, particularly regarding specific procedures like grooming. "$300 dollars for them to not even do anything CLOSE to what I came there for (just a quick shave to my pet)" suggests issues with communication, service scope, or pricing transparency for certain services. This highlights the importance of clear communication upfront.
- Potential for Miscommunication on Specific Services: The disparity between expecting a "quick shave" and a $300 charge without the desired outcome points to a potential for misinterpretation of services offered or their associated costs. It underscores the need for pet owners to explicitly confirm the scope and price of procedures before proceeding.
These combined perspectives suggest that while Medford Pet Clinic, under Dr. Olga, is appreciated for its caring approach and general affordability in veterinary services, it is paramount for clients to have very clear, upfront discussions about specific procedures and their expected outcomes and costs to avoid disappointment.

Mar 09, 2025 · Norma EganPLEASE never go to this pet clinic no matter how desperate you are. Just got charged $300 dollars for them to not even do anything CLOSE to what I came there for (just a quick shave to my pet)
Mar 21, 2025 · Molly OConnorVet is so rude! Takes pleasure in knowing that you don’t have enough money to help my cat! She told me ,: you don’t even have $500.00! As it was I used my grocery money to pay for my cat! $155.00! 6 months ago she changed $70.00. Now it went up to $100.00. Just to walk in the door! Extremely rude! No need to be condisending!
Dec 02, 2024 · maryann sperlingaThis review is for both Medford & Revere pet clinic (same company) I told Medford pet clinic several times I DID NOT want his tail shaved at all. They said ok and booked it for Revere. This is not for "styling" reasons. This is strictly to get his matted furr off as it hurts them and he refuses to let me brush him. I was going every year to the winchester location with no problem but they stopped doing it there. I just feel so bad they ruined his tail. Can't complain to them on the phone cuz can't even get through to them!!
Sep 14, 2023 · Susanne IacovoneDr.Olga and her team have been taking care of my cat for 8 years! From spaying her when she was 6 months old at the Charlestown location, to her yearly check up’s, a dental removal last year at the Revere location, to treating a skin rash earlier this year and now we’re back for a dental cleaning. We’ve always been treated very well here and my girl feels comfortable with Dr.Olga and her team! Very happy overall with the care my baby receives here.
