Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital Reviews
I absolutely recommend this vet hospital to anyone who has an emergent need in the surrounding area! I had an a wonderful experience from every moment I walked in to every moment I was discharged. The waiting area overall has a beautiful and comfortable set up with water and other hot drinks like coffee or hot cocoa to have while you wait. The vet team checked in with me and my bunny a couple of times to see how she was doing as we waited to be seen. While she was being seen they kept me updated throughout the whole process. They were so gentle and loving with my bunny and took great care of her. They patiently answered every little question I had no matter how big or small with a kind attitude and detailed information. The care, examinations, treatments, and medications/instructions the vet team provided were spot on and well done. My bunny had a 24 hr critical window where I had to be on high alert and thankfully the Vet staff checked in with me a few times after we were home to see how my bunny was doing and gave me guided advice on what my next steps should be. So overall the vet team from clerical staff to clinical staff was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better team! You won’t regret choosing this hospital for your beloved pets! Below are two pictures of me and my bunny patiently waiting to be seen!
Jun 10, 2025 · Ferneidy DotelMy cat was showing signs of an upper respiratory infection and I was really nervous about it, so I called Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital. I spoke to a woman named Taylor over the phone who was very helpful. She recommended we bring him in to have them take a look at him. Always better to be safe than sorry! They took him in right away to make sure he was alright. I really liked how promptly they responded as if he were one of their own. Their entire staff is so helpful and professional. We loved his doctor, Jennifer Rogers. She was so down to earth, caring, and knowledgeable. She made us feel at ease and gave us some really great recommendations to better accommodate his needs. She is the BEST! Although I hope we don't have to return there anytime soon (emergencies are so scary and never wanted), I know that we will be in such great and capable hands if we do. Thank you again to the entire staff for all you do to keep our animals happy and safe
Apr 09, 2025 · Jaclyn KelleyI live over an hour away so when I called, they said they would be ready when we got there. On our arrival they took our information and took our puppy back in within five minutes of our arrival. Within 10 minutes he was being treated. We were there quite a while but they kept us updated of his condition. The treatment was explained and it was recommended that he should stay overnight. They took good care of our puppy and he was able to come home the next day.
Jun 09, 2025 · juli taylorWe brought our Guinea pig Anastasia there in fall 2024. She was checked up with good care while she was sick.Everything went great with her medicine and was fine but you know Guinea pigs hide their pain well if something else is wrong. We didn’t see any signs and wish we did like we did from the first time.So unfortunately this February on the 6th she unexpectedly passed away. They were very comforting when we had to bring her back to get cremated and told us where she was going to get cremated. We got her back quickly than expected from how long the process is from what we were told. We discussed keepsakes with them. We didn’t get any back when she was ready to be picked up so I called and they are sent by mail and I felt bad by calling due to me being worried if they were able to get any or not but they were kind and very understanding as to why I called too. We greatly appreciate the support and kindness that they have for our little fur baby and for us as well. It is our first loss of a pet/furbaby. She is dearly missed and forever loved.
Feb 10, 2025 · Olivia Vann NessThey were amazing. We had an emergency with our dog and they were so accommodating. We are thousands of miles away from home, they took us in as if we were family. I was frazzled, but they call me down pretty quickly. They said it wasn't as dire as we thought, but they still were to quickly with us and our dog. They have an incredible staff. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcomes you in, when you are the most anxiety ridden moment. This place was a gem. Definitely worth going to when there is an emergency for your pet. Thank you to the doctors and staff were making our experience wonderful. Thank you for saving our puppy. Chesapeake Rose is very lucky to have you guys there.
