Willow Creek Veterinary Service Introduce
For animal owners across Ohio, particularly those with horses and small pets in the Medina area, finding a veterinary service that combines profound expertise with genuine dedication can make all the difference. Willow Creek Veterinary Service, located in Medina, OH, stands as a distinguished mixed animal practice, renowned for its high-quality medical and surgical services for both equine and small animal patients. With veterinarians like Dr. Gebhart, celebrated for life-saving interventions and a collaborative approach, this service is committed to providing individualized attention that prioritizes the health and well-being of all your beloved companions.
Willow Creek Veterinary Service prides itself on its dual focus, offering intimate, stress-reducing office visits for cats and dogs, alongside comprehensive ambulatory services for horses and other larger species. Their vision is centered on delivering personalized care, allowing clients to interact closely with their doctors. They utilize advanced diagnostics and treatments, including digital radiographs and ultrasound, to ensure the highest standard of veterinary medicine. This commitment to both in-clinic and on-farm care reflects their understanding of the diverse needs of pet and livestock owners across Ohio.
The reviews for Willow Creek Veterinary Service paint a picture of a practice with both remarkable highs and areas where responsiveness can be a concern. A powerful testament to their capabilities comes from a client who shares, "Dr. Gebhart saved our horse’s life. After a week at the emergency vet hospital with no improvement and no diagnosis, we were able to have him released to Dr. Gebhart’s care at home. She is attentive, communicative and most of all, collaborative." This highlights Dr. Gebhart's exceptional diagnostic skills, dedication, and ability to work effectively with owners and other professionals. However, another review expresses frustration over emergency response times for a suffering horse, stating, "I called with my concerns to be told I would get a call back.... an hour later... they called to tell me the doctor had no time to come out today." This indicates that while their medical expertise can be life-saving, responsiveness for non-scheduled emergencies may vary, which is an important consideration for pet owners. Willow Creek does state that they offer 24/7 emergency services for horses, goats, and sheep, indicating that after-hours calls go to an on-call veterinarian, and they provide advice on how to handle urgent situations and when to call immediately.
Willow Creek Veterinary Service is conveniently located at 3578 Hamlin Rd, Medina, OH 44256, USA. Willow Creek Veterinary Service Reviews
Dr. Gebhart saved our horse’s life. After a week at the emergency vet hospital with no improvement and no diagnosis, we were able to have him released to Dr. Gebhart’s care at home. She is attentive, communicative and most of all, collaborative. She worked closely with our trainer who has the most knowledge about our horse’s quirks and what is normal and what is not. Our family can never thank Dr. Gebhart enough for her tireless work to bring our boy back to health.
Mar 21, 2025 · Lisa NunneyI have used this vet for my 2 horses for a few years now. My one horse wouldn't get up after trying everything I could. I called the vet to have them come look at her. I called with my concerns to be told I would get a call back.... an hour later after her being outside. I finally got a call (also after multiple attempts to cal again) they called to tell me the doctor had no time to come out today..... so I was suppose to let my horse suffer? She had been done for hours at this point. This to me was so wrong. I get you had clients already scheduled. But emergency to me should be priority. Unfortunately she suffered longer than she should have to. I will never be using them for vet services ever again.
May 15, 2025 · Loretta VandiverI am so glad Dr. G and team are part of my care team. They are all easy to communicate with through email, calls and texts. Very responsive to emergencies and the care is unbeatable. Dr. Gebhart is compassionate but a straight shooter and develops a relationship with all the kids. I am always grateful for the follow up calls after a sick visit and couldn't recommend the practice more.
Aug 22, 2024 · Jennifer DubberThey have been the best through all our own horses and the rescues we bring home. Great communication and very accommodating. We use both Dr. G and Dr. Wood and can't say enough good things and the staff is amazing. Been with them now since 2008/9. Can't imagine anyone else touching our animals.Michelle - Grafton
