Parrot & Bird Emporium Inc Reviews
I have owned birds before, but not for many years, so when I decided to add a cockatiel to my household recently, I wanted the best possible place I could find for a hand fed baby. The excellent reviews for this store are absolutely on target; this has been an excellent experience start to finish. When I chose my bird, he was quite young and I knew it would be a couple months before he could come home. They strongly encourage buyers of babies to come and spend time with their new family member, and they make that experience so enjoyable, I didn’t even mind the hour drive each direction. The encounter room is large and bright with multiple toys, bird snacks, and comfortable places to sit and bond with your bird. This time is so important to getting off to a good start; by the time your bird comes home, it knows you very well and the transition is so much easier. They answer every single question patiently and thoroughly, and before I brought my boy home, I felt fully up to speed on cage requirements, toys, training, behavior expectations, feeding, and pretty much every facet of bird ownership. Everyone went above and beyond, but shout out to Jocelyn especially, with whom I talked for what was probably hours about everything. You can tell the people who work here adore birds and love their own parrots, and they bring that passion to their work. I feel like we’re off to a great start. Two thumbs up for probably the best bird store I’ve ever been in.
Mar 22, 2025 · Hilarie JonesIn November, our baby Cockatiel and Quaker were ready to come home! During their time there, we were encouraged to visit as often as possible so they knew us. This is a place like no other I’ve ever been to! The staff become like family. They are so friendly, supportive and knowledgeable, I’d want to hang out there every day! There is a room where birds are out, there are plenty of chairs and it’s brightly lit. I loved to just sit in there! When our babies came home we had some bonding concerns with our Cockatiel and we were invited back for a meet-up with Janet and she shared many ideas and tips in what may help. At NO charge! I have been in many pet/bird retail stores, as most of us animal people have, but this is like nothing you’ve ever seen. The time and care they put into their beautiful birds is just top notch and the birds reflect that as pets. Stop by and see for yourself!
Mar 14, 2025 · Alice BThe Parrot and Bird Emporium in Feeding Hills is hands down the most amazing store I’ve ever been in—there’s truly nothing else like it. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with warmth and a sense of calm. The atmosphere is incredibly zen, and it’s clear the birds are not just well cared for—they’re loved. One of my favorite features is the visiting room, complete with cozy couches, chairs, and TVs. It’s the perfect space to sit, relax, and connect with these stunning creatures in a peaceful setting. This is more than a store—it’s an experience. Five stars without hesitation. It’s officially my new go-to place.
Jun 20, 2025 · Linda MercierDrove 45 min to get there seeing we have nothing like them in CT. I totally fell in love with this place. Super friendly staff. The lady who helped us (sorry I'm very bad with names) did a super job. I had ton of questions and I have to say she spent about 2hrs if not more answering them. They encourage you to spend time with the birds which is super helpful. They have a section with couches so you can sit and hold and pet the birds. To me this place absolutely is not a bird mill of sorts for birds. They really care, are educated, provide boarding services, nail and feather clipping. Just all around and Excellent place to get your bid. I originally started at Petco but am super grateful I found Parrot Emporium. Prices are reasonable the same as Petco but the service, quality, expertise and just knowing that the birds are handled at all times is the best I can't say enough. 10 stars
Apr 06, 2025 · RUBEN DACOSTAI absolutely love this place! The owner, I can’t remember her name I think it was Janet was so kind and caring. She gives lots of helpful information. The two that were helping eachother feed their babies were so nice to me it was the lady with the curly hair in a pony tail and the guy with the blond and black hair. Super friendly! Not to mention the younger girl, Lily! She used to be my server and then she moved to the bird emporium so her and I already know eachother well! We called before going in for hours and information about our littles. She answered my phone call almost immediately and was able to answer all of my questions except for one. She made sure I had the best information so she went to grab the manager to answer one of the questions.Lots of birds and it’s so nice being able to see all the different ones. Friendliest staff ever! Lots of signs saying not to touch birds out of the cage or in the cage so honestly if someone gets bit then that’s on them! Read the signs, ask for help, ask for information and there will be no problems in the slightest! Definitely will be back!
