CL Cattery Introduce
In the quest for a new furry family member, residents across Ohio often turn to local breeders and businesses to find the perfect pet. However, it is crucial to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough research to protect yourself from potential scams. This article is a cautionary guide for individuals in the Ohio region, specifically in Fairfield, who may come across a business operating under the name CL Cattery. Based on a collection of public reviews and customer experiences, there are serious allegations of fraudulent activity and questionable business practices that potential buyers should be aware of. This is not a description of a veterinary care service, but a crucial warning for those seeking to purchase a pet and may mistake this business for a legitimate and ethical breeder. The information presented here is compiled from real customer feedback and is intended to help local users make informed and safe decisions for their families and homes.
The provided address for CL Cattery is listed as 4999-5199 E Scioto Dr, Fairfield, OH 45014, USA. For local users in Ohio, this address is situated within the Fairfield area. While this information places the business geographically within the region, the accessibility of a physical location for potential buyers is a point of significant concern raised in customer reviews. Multiple accounts suggest that despite the provided address, the business's representatives, identified in one review as "Wesley Barnes," have actively avoided in-person meetings. Instead of allowing customers to visit and pick up their kittens, they allegedly push for shipping and other payment methods before the pet is in hand. This practice is a major red flag for any reputable animal breeder. The inability or unwillingness to allow a potential buyer to see the kittens and their living environment in person is a widely recognized warning sign of a scam. For locals in Fairfield and the wider Ohio region, this lack of physical accessibility and transparency should be a critical consideration before engaging with the business.
Based on the provided customer reviews, CL Cattery does not offer a standard list of veterinary care services. Instead, its reported activities revolve around the sale of kittens. The "services" provided by this business, as described by customers, appear to be centered on a fraudulent transaction process. These alleged practices include:
- Taking deposits for kittens: The business reportedly accepts deposits from customers, often through methods like Zelle, for kittens that may not exist.
- Avoiding physical meetings: Customers have reported that after a deposit is paid, the business becomes evasive and cannot find a time for the buyer to pick up the kitten in person, despite the buyer's availability.
- Pushing for shipping: In lieu of an in-person pickup, the business allegedly attempts to persuade customers to pay additional money for shipping, which is a common tactic in pet-related scams.
- Demanding removal of negative reviews: Following a negative review, the business reportedly held the customer's money hostage, stating they would not return the deposit unless the review was removed.
- Slow or no communication: While the business may be responsive when trying to secure a deposit, customers have noted a significant drop-off in communication afterward, with very slow or non-existent responses to inquiries.
The features and highlights of a reputable business are what make it a trusted choice for consumers. In the case of CL Cattery, the highlights noted in the customer reviews are overwhelmingly negative and serve as a strong warning for anyone considering a purchase. These include:
- Allegations of Scams and Deceptive Practices: Multiple reviews explicitly label the business as "Scam artists point blank" and advise others to "Buyer beware: Potential scam!!!" This is a direct and serious red flag for any potential customer.
- Unprofessional and Unreliable Communication: The experience of slow, inconsistent, and evasive communication after a deposit is paid is a significant feature of the reported interactions. The business's alleged failure to follow through on promises, such as returning money within a specified timeframe, further underscores its lack of reliability.
- Questionable Financial Transactions: The reported use of payment methods like Zelle for a deposit and later attempting to get more money for shipping for goods not yet received is a key highlight of the negative experiences. This behavior, particularly when combined with the refusal to allow in-person pickup, is characteristic of a fraudulent operation.
- Coercive Tactics: The reported attempt to use a customer's deposit as leverage to force them to remove a negative review is a highly unethical and unprofessional practice. This is a critical feature that reveals the business's priorities are not centered on customer satisfaction or animal welfare but rather on controlling their public image through coercion.
- Lack of Transparency: The fact that the business's website reportedly remained unchanged and kittens were not marked as reserved, even after deposits were allegedly taken, points to a severe lack of transparency and proper business management, or a complete absence of the animals in question.
Based on the information provided, the contact details for CL Cattery are:
Address: 4999-5199 E Scioto Dr, Fairfield, OH 45014, USA
It is important to note that a phone number was not provided in the source material, and the reviews mention email correspondence as the primary method of initial contact. However, customers reported that this communication becomes unreliable after a deposit is made.
In conclusion, for residents of Ohio, particularly in the Fairfield area, the provided information regarding CL Cattery should be considered a strong warning. This business, based on multiple customer reviews, is not a suitable or reliable choice for anyone seeking to acquire a new pet. The numerous allegations of scams, unreliable communication, and unethical business practices, such as withholding money to remove negative reviews, make it a high-risk entity. A reputable breeder or animal care provider operates with transparency, allows for in-person visits to see the animals and their living conditions, and communicates professionally throughout the entire process. The experiences detailed by other locals stand in stark contrast to these standards. Therefore, anyone in the Ohio region is strongly advised to exercise caution and thoroughly research any potential breeder or seller before making a deposit or any form of payment. Local animal shelters and legitimate, certified breeders are much safer alternatives to consider when looking to welcome a new animal into your home.

CL Cattery Reviews
Buyer beware: Potential scam!!! We have had a horrible experience with this seller. They took our deposit (Wesley Barnes through Zelle) and then could not find any time for us to come pick up the kittens. We were available any weekend which is what they said worked for them. They tried to get us to do shipping. We declined as we were not about to give even more money before having kittens in hand. We asked for our money back. They said that since we posted a negative review that they were not going to give the money back. But if we removed the review then they would return the money. After nearly a week they finally sent an email that said that zelle was processing our money in 24 hours. We still didn't receive our money after 24 hours. The website has not changed in the 3 weeks that we have seen the site. Only 1 cat is reserved and ours were never marked as reserved. Unsure if this is just a super poor business person or an absolute scam but I would not recommend them to anyone. When they are trying to get the money they are very responsive to emails. Afterward, very slow if any responses and then making promises that they didn't keep.
