While the convenience of a location is a key factor, the true value of a veterinary clinic lies in its staff and their level of care. For many South Carolina residents, finding a vet with a compassionate approach is just as important as finding one with a convenient location. The experiences of pet owners, both positive and negative, provide insight into the clinic's environment and service philosophy. One pet owner shared a very positive account of their dog Diesel's first visit, stating, "Everyone did an excellent job and we will be back!" This kind of feedback highlights a successful, professional experience where the staff efficiently and effectively handled a variety of routine procedures. On the other hand, a deeply personal and heartbreaking review from another client expressed concerns about the lack of compassion during a critical and emotional visit. This review, while difficult to read, serves as a poignant reminder of the high level of empathy and communication pet owners hope to find in a veterinary clinic, especially during emergencies. The clinic's ability to create a consistently kind and supportive environment, even during the most difficult moments, is a critical factor for many people in choosing where to take their pets for care. The contrasting reviews underscore the importance of both professional competence and compassionate interaction in veterinary medicine.

March 04 · PhilI rarely leave reviews but the is experience almost broke my heart. 11 March 2025 I took my cat Chance in who I thought I was sincerely going to lose and the lack of basic human empathy was disappointing, but the lack of compassion and respect for my cat was heart wrenching. In a world like today where sadness is all around God gave us animals to give us a little hope, we can at-least attempt to be kind to them in what could be there last moments.I explained what was going on with my cat and begged for any kind of help even if it was the end, I just wanted comfort for him. I never even got passed the front desk, everyone just stared at me. We waited in the lobby with seemingly no sense of urgency from anyone. When my cat was dying on the office floor in front of everyone, I’ll never forget the words that was said to me, “you might wanna move him, we got dogs coming through.”My God, is this where we are today?I took Chance to Fidelis Animal Hospital at 1735 Fraser Street where they gave us a room, asked a couple questions and an Angel/Female Doctor came in and said to me give ME that baby. It was as if a cloud had been lifted, my cat hugged her. He wanted to still live but just needed a little help. It may just seem like any random cat, but that cat helped save my life during my darkest hours.Chance is at home doing better.FYI, sometimes, even at times of possible death all people really need is a little KINDNESS, it goes a long way &…it matters. Many blessings to all my animal lovers , salut
March 12 · Sicleana McCallI took a lifetime companion dog yesterday to deal with her approaching death. Waiting longer would have been selfish and would put her through a growing and intense discomfort of cancer death. I knew from the first day I got her from the pound in Atlanta that that day would come. I’m forever grateful for the gentle and compassionate treatment Ms Dr Hall gave her. My friend had a sweet and gentle death.
April 22 · Fritz FerrisWe just moved to Georgetown with our 13 year old lab whose health has been failing. Unfortunately , the day came and the staff at Georgetown Animal Clinic could not have been more compassionate, professional and kind.
July 25 · Mike KettermanSo far my animals have been treated well and I have been respected my question have been answered and I have not been rushed I've been going there for years and I appreciate them.
