★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I brought my cat Butter in this past Monday thinking she had ear mites as ALL my 3 cats were scratching their ears and having similar symptoms. Butter’s ear was inflamed and I could not afford to bring all 3 cats in so I brought her in since she was the worst, but knowing all my cats were having similar problems. The staff was polite and helpful, however I was told 100% that she does not have ear mites. I even asked if they were sure as I was very convinced it was the problem, again, as ALL my cats had the same symptoms. They assured me it was not. That my cat had a “flea allergy” and an ear infection. The vet then gave me multiple options to her treatment which I was not too sure what to do as I’ve never dealt with a “flea allergy”. I chose to give her the steroid and was prescribed a steroid and ear drops for my cat and flea medication for all 3 which was VERY expensive. Fast forward about a week and my cats symptoms have not resolved, and are worse. I bring her in to the Grand Strand Humane Society Clinic where within 10 minutes they were able to tell me that she and my other cats all DO HAVE EAR MITES. Also, none of them have any fleas at all. They all got treated and are doing much better. Nearly $400 later and a wrong diagnosis and wrong medicine that was not helping my cat at all. I just don’t understand how a vet can miss something as simple and common as ear mites. I’m just glad I was able to get her the help she needed before it got worse. Her ear was about to burst.
August 02 · malloryI had an emergency with my little dog. So, I was a walk-in and first time customer because my Vet is closed on Fridays. We were treated really well. They went the extra mile on diagnosis and gave fur baby what she needed to get better! I now have a new veterinarian! Thanks!
June 29 · J.J. HenryIf you’re on vacation or even live near this veterinarian office. I 100% recommended them! Unfortunately while on vacation we had to rush our Yorkie to the vet with a google search we found On Point. There name definitely fits them! The staff was on point not a minute wait, the vet technician immediately took our dog back. It was never give me your money and then we will take care of your dog. If we ever need a veterinary service again on vacation it will be On point! There was a situation while we were there as well a couple want On Point to put their 12 year old HEALTHY dog down because they didn’t want to take care of her anymore. OnPoint immediately said ABSOLUTELY NOT! They don’t do that if it’s not medically necessary! Thankfully someone there took possession of the dog.Another reason why I say On Point Veterinary Office is on point.Thank you to everyone who helped us with our fur baby.
July 22 · Nancy ConnieSo I brought my dog there on a weekend and it cost me $1159 for them to give me an anabiotic and tell me that they’re not sure what he had so then I go to their on point hospital on Monday and they tell me you have MMM that he needs steroid medication it’s OK so we ordered the medication on Friday and here it is Wednesday of the following week and they still have yet to fill his medication and now his head is sunk in and his draw muscles are almost gone They are irresponsible people. ! I wouldn’t bring my enemy there!
July 02 · Deanna CronkGreat place to go! We were here for vacation from Columbia area and our pup got pancreatitis after a night at the emergency room we took him here for follow up care the next day. Great staff, friendly and very helpful. Dr Andrews did an outstanding job treating him with a pick up later that afternoon. Fantastic job by all there! Many thanks.
