Creatures Great & Small Veterinary Reviews
No customer service. Almost no customer contact. Veterinarian only seen for a few minutes at end of appointment. No discussion of problems or issues with the Veterinarian. Large dogs just drug away from you for whatever they do in the back. Dog 1 was looking at her owner as she was drug backwards out the door to the back room. In next week dog 2 was looking towards the technician but still drug out on a tiny little lead. No allowed in waiting room. Dogs fight there we are told. You call from the car, a tech gets you and you go directly to the treatment room. Tech hears what your concerns are and drags the animal away. Dog screams from back room but there is no knowledge of what is going on or why. Upon call back, office manager is screaming all kinds of things over the phone. This is likely why no customers are allowed in the waiting room. Can't believe my friend was going there for over 30 years with this treatment and very high prices.
May 22, 2025 · Tammie MyersWe have been clients here for a few years and finally just left. We couldn't take it anymore. First, some things that potential clients should know about. Once you arrive you have to wait in the car. You call the office and tell them you have arrived. At that point they want to know how you're paying for the visit. After sitting outside for a few minutes, a tech calls back and ask you why the animal is being seen. Sometimes it's only 5 min wait but once we waited about 20 to 25 minutes in the heat in the car. I know an elderly client who takes her animals there and she was actually scolded once because she walked in to the the waiting room by mistake because she forgot to call. Once inside the tech will again review the reason for the animal's visit with you. You're lucky if you get a nice tech. That's a 50/50 shot. The animal is then taken in the back to be examined and treated. I have asked several times to please give me a receipt so I know what I'm paying for. However, every time we have gone we are simply told what the total is and expected to pay.If we ask for a receipt, we get an eyeroll. (There have been mistakes made and we were charged for things that we did not receive during one of the visits.)There is also a staff member there who has a very abrupt, rude and condescending attitude. I won't mention names but reviews have. Please pay attention to these negative reviews because they're not lying. At one time we were encouraged to put our cat on a prescription food. The vet said we could get the food Rx without having to pay rx chg(they charge a hefty price to write a prescription. Poss $6-7???. )Please note that any prescription that is written or given over the phone for food or meds has an associated charge. Anyway, at that time the vet told us there was n/c for the prescription for food and when my wife later called to inquire if they could please give the okay for the company where we were purchasing it from, we were told we needed to pay for the rx. At that time my wife explained that the vet told us that we did not have to pay for prescriptions for food that it was only medication. She was basically talked down to by the person who was extremely rude ( again) At that time she was questioned as to why she didn't want to purchase the food at their office and she explained that it was easier to have it delivered because we live almost 30 minutes from the office. This person very abruptly told her " I know where you live and you're not 30 minutes from us".In addition, my dog had a well visit May 2024 but when we had to take her a few months ago, We were told that she hadn't had her annual well visit. ( She did). Other times we were told that she needed a vaccine but she had already had it (they had records of this ).Or we were told she needed an annual exam when she had only had one a few months prior. When we reminded the tech that she had a well visit and gave her the date, the tech got very rude with us.At one point I took my cat in and she made a mess in the front of the carrier. I was not aware but saw after they brought her back from being seen in the exam room. The stool was in front of the cage. (Which means they had to remove the cat over top of the stool and didn't even bother to pick it out or simply dump it in the trash can). It was not loose. When I said to the tech " you didn't clean that out?" she very nastily said, " nope" with an attitude and walked out of the room. When I said something to the person at the front desk who is always rude to us, I was told that customers are expected to clean up after their own animals. We were not asking them to clean out the crate. These are only a few of the issues that we've had over the last couple of years. We have since left the practice and gone elsewhere and couldn't be happier. It is a breath of fresh air to have nice people who are very kind, and treat the animal with love and the owners with respect.
May 30, 2025 · David FullerGreat vet to take my new puppy to for first time. Friendly, professional staff who gave great care to my little one. Will be going back for future care.
May 23, 2025 · Remle NelsonIt is heartbreaking to even have to write this but I am finally able to do so. We recently had to hear the devastating news that Bella had a suspected bleeding mass and we were going to lose her. The vets and staff at creatures were amazing and supportive. Together we came up with a plan to try and keep her comfortable and happy to get through another Christmas, however, we sadly didn’t make it.We have had great care throughout the years at creatures great and small and highly recommend them. Thank you all for all of your knowledge as well as love and care for my sweet Bella throughout her life and specifically during her final days. I especially want to thank Amy. Her support and listening ear helped get me through one of the darkest times in my life and I will forever be grateful.
Jan 23, 2024 · Susan WestI always found this group of staff to be a bit moody and they are pretty pricey, but today I brought my dog in and immediately they were nasty! Everything that could go wrong went wrong! When you are reviewing the reviews, please start with the lowest rating those people are telling the truth!!!!
