Northfield Animal Hospital Reviews
The new location is beautiful, most of the staff and vets I’ve dealt with are nice but the woman who “checks you in” redhead with glasses is very awkward and offputting, I parked in the back of the parking lot as I was 50 minutes early to my appointment where she approached my car and questioned me repeatedly. It was just not a great, welcoming, or appropriate scenario all the way around. I did just make this my dogs permeate vet but I’m kind of double thinking that choice.
Mar 04, 2025 · Mac TaliaferroI was disappointed at the care my dog received for an ear infection. He was prescribed medication to be administered for 7 days. They suggested I get his yearly exam, while I was there too, which I did . They try to upsell products and services when they get you in the room. After all ,at the end of the day, it’s a business and that’s exactly what it feels like. There was only enough medication to last four days. When I called to refill the prescription , I was told I must bring my dog in . He was prescribed another dosage of the same medicine . His ears were super raw and had white flaky scales on his ear flaps.. After paying several hundred dollars again , for the medication and theappointment , my dogs ears were not getting better.I went to another veterinary practice . They identified the problem , changed the medication for the inner ear and prescribed an anti-fungal mousse for yeast/white flakes . After another 10 days of treatment , my dog is finally getting relief.I have been a dog owner for 40 years. Thisis not my first time dealing with an ear infection. They were more concerned about generating new business than they were about identifying and treating the issue correctly the first time.
Jan 03, 2025 · Nancy KovlerAbsolutely wonderful people. My new veterinarian. The doctor's very knowledgeable and caring.
May 16, 2025 · JoeCan't say we'd go back. Very expensive but there was nothing conclusive. It may be this or it could be that. He ended up having diarrhea there, was stressed etc. Sure he wasn't home but we insisted on taking him home after an overnight stay. He immediately ate, drank and was calm.Contacted another vet and went to an animal hospital. We received clearer communication and instruction from the other vet via phone. Hospital of course gave us more conclusive findings quickly while letting us know the costs up front to assist our decision. Wouldn't go back to or recommend Northfield. 6/2024.
Jun 25, 2024 · A.J. CohenMy family have been going there for years! Over the years, they've helped us with our cats and dogs when they were sick.🐕🐈 One thing is, they are pretty expensive.💵 On a scale of 1-10 of how expensive they are, I would say about 6 or 7.💵
