Their mission is deeply rooted in a commitment to delivering the highest standards of specialized care, often working in conjunction with a pet's primary veterinarian. As evidenced by heartfelt testimonials from pet owners during their most difficult times, the staff at MASH are renowned for their incredible support, care, and kindness. Mid-Atlantic Animal Specialty Hospital (MASH) is strategically located at 4135 Old Town Rd, Huntingtown, MD 20639, USA, providing a critical resource for pet owners throughout Calvert County and the wider Maryland region. Huntingtown, situated in a more suburban and rural part of Maryland, offers a distinct advantage for a specialized facility like MASH: ease of access without the dense traffic and logistical challenges often found in metropolitan areas. Old Town Road is a well-established local route, and its proximity "Near Route 4 & Cox Road" further enhances its accessibility. Route 4 is a major highway that connects various communities in Southern Maryland, making the hospital easily reachable for residents traveling from areas like Prince Frederick, Dunkirk, Chesapeake Beach, and even parts of Anne Arundel County. The location is typically well-served by clear signage, guiding visitors directly to the facility. For pet owners who might be arriving in stressful or emergency situations, the straightforward approach to the hospital and generally ample parking would be a significant relief. While public transportation options might be more limited compared to urban centers, the vast majority of clients traveling to a specialty hospital would likely do so by private vehicle. This strategic placement in a readily accessible area of Calvert County ensures that when specialized, urgent, or rehabilitative veterinary care is needed, Maryland pet owners have a reliable and convenient destination in MASH.

Jun 05, 2025 · Amanda McKinleyRecently brought my cat here for help and ended up having to put him to rest; staff here definitely made it easier on me and my girlfriend, and they were extremely professional when it came to his care and recovering his ashes. Highly recommend them for your pet.
Sep 13, 2023 · Lance IdeThe doggy rehab ladies are so wonderful. Our dog Cooper had a great experience with them over a 6 week rehab process of underwater treadmill, laser therapy, and home exercises following TPLO surgery. Cooper is on his way to a full recovery. I loved getting videos and pictures of his sessions afterwards from them.

May 05, 2022 · Tanya LewisOn 2/14 our baby suffered multiple seizures and our vet told us to rush to Annapolis but CALLED Mash to let them know we might stop if he starts seizing again which he did. That is when me and my husband meet the most nastiest, unmanned, rude , and down right disgusting person I have ever meet! Thank God the vet tech was a sweetheart and we got him meds to make it to Annapolis but by the end of my visit at Mash of it wasn't for the sweet vet tech holding my dying baby I would have told that vile women behind the counter all about herself. Also you heartless wench my baby boy had to be put down . I hope that lady gets fired be she obviously hates animals and should work no where near people ... to the wonderful vet tech thank you for trying to help us I hope nothing but good things come your way
