So very happy with this service! Not to mention very thankful that we have some like this in our area now. We took our nine year-old pup Penelope into have her teeth cleaned last week. Now, my dog has the record for being the second dog in just over a year to need their owner to stay with them because she is pretty high strung. With me in the room, she handled it like a champ, and if it had not been for my dog being higher strung I would have been completely comfortable with them handling Penelope themselves. Everything went flawlessly otherwise. The homeopathic calming spray they give the dog takes a few minutes to fully kick in, but I could feel her relax(see that smile!). The doctor educated me on one fracture tooth and how to care for that and watch it as she further ages. Being that she is nine years old, I am constantly reading how dogs with clean teeth live longer for various reasons, but we have always been nervous about putting her on her anesthesia just for a teeth cleaning. Don’t have to do that anymore! Can’t wait to come back. - John Krajc

Pet Smiles Introduce

For pet owners across South Carolina, the health of their four-legged family members is a top priority. While we often focus on annual check-ups and vaccinations, one area that is sometimes overlooked is dental health, even though it is a critical component of a pet's overall well-being. Many pet owners worry about the risks and costs associated with putting their beloved pets under anesthesia for a routine teeth cleaning. In Myrtle Beach, there's a unique and highly-regarded solution that addresses these concerns head-on: Pet Smiles. This specialized veterinary practice focuses on a professional, non-anesthesia approach to dental care for dogs and cats, providing a safe and effective alternative for many pets.

Pet Smiles has quickly become a trusted resource for the local community, as evidenced by glowing reviews from satisfied customers. One owner of a high-strung dog noted their relief and gratitude, stating, "Now, my dog has the record for being the second dog in just over a year to need their owner to stay with them because she is pretty high strung. With me in the room, she handled it like a champ...". This type of personal attention and understanding of a pet's unique temperament is a hallmark of the service provided. Pet Smiles is committed to making the dental cleaning experience as comfortable as possible, not just for the pet, but for the owner as well.

The clinic’s approach is particularly appealing to those with older pets or animals with pre-existing health conditions, for whom anesthesia may be a significant risk. As another reviewer shared, "Being that she is nine years old, I am constantly reading how dogs with clean teeth live longer for various reasons, but we have always been nervous about putting her on her anesthesia just for a teeth cleaning. Don’t have to do that anymore! Can’t wait to come back." This sentiment highlights the peace of mind that Pet Smiles provides, allowing owners to maintain their pet's oral health without the anxiety of a more invasive procedure. The dramatic "before and after" results, often shared by clients, speak for themselves and reinforce the effectiveness of the care provided.
