Holt Roger R DVM Introduce
For pet owners in Yadkinville, North Carolina, and the surrounding communities of Yadkin County, securing reliable and compassionate veterinary care is paramount for the health and happiness of their animal companions. Whether you have a beloved small pet or require care for larger livestock, finding a veterinary practice that offers both expertise and genuine concern is essential. Yadkin Veterinary Hospital, with the highly regarded Dr. Roger Holt at its helm, has long served as a cornerstone of animal health in the region, known for its dedication to patient well-being and a personalized approach to veterinary medicine.
Yadkin Veterinary Hospital, often associated with Dr. Roger Holt, has built a strong reputation over decades, with one loyal client noting, "Dr. Holt at Yadkin Vet. Hospital has been my Vet for over 25 yrs. He has always shown so much concern for each of my pets as if they were his own. Bonus points go to Dr. Holt for the compassion he's always extended to me. I highly recommend Dr. Holt for ALL of your large or small animal needs. Thank you Dr. Holt." This speaks volumes about the enduring trust and deep relationships forged between the clinic and the local community. The emphasis on treating pets "as if they were his own" highlights the compassionate ethos that permeates the practice.
However, it's also important for local users to understand the operational realities of veterinary practices, particularly concerning emergencies and staffing. While Yadkin Veterinary Hospital aims to provide excellent care, as highlighted by another review detailing a challenging experience with limited emergency capacity, it underscores the importance of clear communication and knowing local alternatives for urgent situations. A well-established clinic like Yadkin Veterinary Hospital strives to offer comprehensive services for routine care and many unexpected needs, maintaining a crucial role in the health infrastructure of Yadkin County. Their commitment lies in fostering the health and longevity of both small and large animals, striving to be a reliable partner for all local animal owners.
Yadkin Veterinary Hospital is conveniently located at 5532 US-601, Yadkinville, NC 27055, USA. This strategic position on a major US highway makes it easily accessible for residents throughout Yadkinville and the broader Yadkin County area. For those traveling from nearby towns within the Piedmont Triad region, the location ensures straightforward navigation to the clinic.
The hospital maintains regular operating hours to accommodate a wide range of schedules:
- Monday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

- Saturday: Closed

It is important to note that appointments are typically required to ensure efficient service and adequate time for each patient. While the clinic aims to provide comprehensive care, as indicated by a client's experience during a pet emergency, there might be situations where immediate care for certain conditions, especially outside of regular hours or during staffing shortages, may require referral to a 24-hour emergency facility in a larger city like Winston-Salem. This is a common practice in smaller towns, and having prior knowledge of such protocols and alternative emergency vets (like Harmony Heights Animal Hospital, mentioned in a review, which is also in Yadkinville) is advisable for all local pet owners. For non-emergency needs, the consistent weekday hours offer ample opportunity for scheduling visits.

Oct 13, 2022 · E.S. PorterI used to recommend the office over every vet in wilkes Surry and Yadkin , but not anymore. Dr.holt I would recommend for large animals only. My dog had been poisoned yesterday and I made a call to Dr. Holts office. The receptionist was very kind and gave me advice because I thought my dog was having a siezure. She was very kind and I done exactly what she had told me , but she said if she has a seizure for more than ten plus minutes then I will need to take the dog to winston because they were short staffed at their office? I had my friend pick me up and luckily he knew a vet located in yadkinville passed baits tire called harmony heights. Otw there we went passed Dr Holts office and they had no cars there only the doctors vehicles parked in the back. When I got to harmony heights I brought my little dog in and as I started to cry I told the. Please help me my dog is having a seizure and I don't know what to do for her. They quickly put my information in the computer and before I could sit down to wait a nurse called me back to a room. And they done great fast and saved my little girl
May 03, 2024 · Megan HolcombAbsolutely LOVE Dr. Holt ... I had taken one of my dogs to another vet but when she was having difficulty with thunderstorms I switched to Dr. Holt so we could get her some medicine. He is extremely reasonably priced and always treats the animals' as if they are his own. Love him dearly!
Oct 02, 2012 · Allyson EdwardsWould rate zero if I could. Got my other cat fixed and fully vaxxed about a year ago. Took him and he had one appointment, spent the night and we got him the next morning. Cost $117, very resonable. I go to get my newest baby fixed and it has been split into three different appointments, taking about a month to get him fixed AND its costing me around $300 this time around. They are SCAMMING people. DO NOT GO HERE.
Apr 02, 2022 · Raegan TullosAlways caring and helpful. Best veterinary hospital in Yadkin county. All of the services we have ever needed, have been taken care of without any issues. Dr. Holt and Dr. Grubb both do a wonderful job caring for all of our animals.
