4.0
I'm honestly in shock. A nice facility that has incredibly knowledge techs and vets and they honestly care about my lizard and snake. They knew everything to look for and they also made sure my husbandry was correct. They definitely gave the impression that my pets were #1 priority even though they aren't the traditional cute dog (I'm used to people thinking that a lizard can't be a pet). And the second shock was when they gave me the total and it was like $150 less than I was expecting. She said the number and I had to double check the screen. I honestly might switch my dogs to this vet too because they're so amazing. Like #1 Vet Goals. 100/10 would recommend. - Rachel McCleary

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For New Hampshire residents, Hopkinton Animal Hospital in Hopkinton represents an exceptionally suitable and highly recommended choice for comprehensive veterinary care for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, its commitment to the highest standards of care is underscored by its AAHA accreditation, a voluntary designation held by only a small percentage of animal hospitals in North America. This signifies a dedication to excellence across all aspects of veterinary practice, from facilities to patient care protocols. Complementing this, their Fear Free certified staff and Gold-level Cat Friendly Practice status ensure that visits are designed to minimize stress and maximize comfort for all pets, particularly anxious dogs and sensitive cats, making veterinary appointments less daunting for local families.

Secondly, the hospital’s unparalleled expertise in exotic pet care is a significant advantage for New Hampshire’s diverse pet-owning community. Many clinics primarily focus on dogs and cats, leaving owners of birds, reptiles, and small mammals with limited options for specialized care. Hopkinton Animal Hospital, however, dedicates itself to understanding the unique needs of these non-traditional companions, a fact consistently praised by owners who appreciate the deep knowledge and priority given to their unique pets, often at surprisingly reasonable costs. This makes it a crucial resource for a specific and often underserved segment of the local pet population.

While one extensive review highlighted a challenging and ultimately heartbreaking experience with a complex case, it's important to note that veterinary medicine, particularly with chronic and progressive conditions, can involve difficult outcomes despite diligent efforts. This specific review also contrasts with numerous other positive testimonials regarding their general care, staff compassion, and success in diagnosing and treating various issues, including one where the vet "figured out what was causing my dog issues and put him on a medication." The overall sentiment from many clients emphasizes the caring and knowledgeable nature of the vets and techs, treating animals as if they are family.

The wide array of services, from routine wellness and advanced diagnostics to specialized surgeries like TPLO and I-131 therapy, ensures that Hopkinton Animal Hospital can address nearly any pet health concern. Its convenient location further enhances its appeal for New Hampshire locals, making quality, compassionate, and comprehensive veterinary care easily accessible. For those seeking a highly accredited, specialized, and genuinely caring veterinary partner for all their beloved animal companions, Hopkinton Animal Hospital stands as a premier choice in the Granite State.
