My 9 year old English Bulldog "Gator" became sick after calling his local vet who agreed to see him the next day, I decided Gator needed to be seen immediately so we went to MedVet. They were the only place open at 11pm. Upon arrival I was quickly greeted and Gator was seen right away. Within a few minutes the tech came out to authorize the necessary procedures and costs which I clarified they could do whatever was.necessary to include CPR. I am not even sure how much time went by as the whole night seems like a blur but the vet came in explaining Gator had a large tumor that was bleeding. I could tell by the look on her face before she even started to explain that even if they removed the tumor, his life expectancy was 1-2 months. This was one of the hardest moments of my life, Gator was my baby..He was my child...From the time he was 8 weeks old, he has been by my side. He traveled to and from Hawaii, countless states and even though I knew he was at the tipping point for his age as bulldog, you can never prepare for this day. The Medvet staff was so kind and caring, and treated this with such sincerity. The front desk young lady offered to give me a hug and when it was time to let him go, it was peaceful and gentle. Nothing like I had imagined. I always thought I would want him to be home when he left, but I am really "glad" things led us to MedVet... They also handled everything else relating to his cremation, urn and making sure his remains were taken care of and returned back home to me...This was a huge sigh of relief because I knew I would need cremation services but it's not anything I planned until that moment. I would definitely recommend MedVet for your pet but even more when it's urgent. RIP Gator March 2015-April 2024 - B Poulin
