Apr 22, 2025 · Lisa BelkPuff has received several 'medical' shaves from WSAH. I'm in today for his fifth! With a longhaired male who doesn't groom well, this is the best option, especially as the weather warms up. Vet techs Katherine and Mars have been especially helpful in guiding me through the process: Do I want a mane? Do I want mittens? Do I want a pompom tail? I appreciate their questions so that Puff is returned well trimmed. Dr Suji and the techs were respectful of my requests and compassionate with Puff, who wasn't excited about his 'spa' day! My skinny little man, who's no longer puffy, will return for his winter trim in December! On another note, I've brought two cats to WSAH for end-of-life services. The clinic's Goodbye Room is a peaceful space with low lighting and soft furnishings. After inserting the IV port, I was given time for last-minute kisses and grateful cuddles before sending Sox and Lemony over the Rainbow Bridge. While in the office today I noticed a sign on the reception desk: 'If these candles are lit, someone is saying goodbye to their beloved pet. We ask that you speak softly and with respect during this difficult time. Thank you for you kindness and compassion.' What a heartfelt way to respect the feelings of pet owners losing their best friends.I highly recommend Walnut Street Animal Hospital and their pet-care services.
Jun 11, 2025 · Jenean Neilsen ToddI had a fantastic experience at Walnut Street Animal Hospital when I brought in my dog, Sophie, for a stomach issue. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do. They treated Sophie with so much care and made both of us feel comfortable right away. The Vet was incredibly thorough and compassionate. They took the time to explain what might be causing Sophie’s discomfort and walked me through the treatment plan in a way that was easy to understand. It was clear that Sophie's well-being was their top priority. Thanks to their attentive care and expert guidance, Sophie is now feeling much better—and I couldn’t be more grateful. The clinic was clean, well-organized, and the staff followed up to make sure everything was going smoothly after our visit.I highly recommend Walnut Street Animal Hospital to anyone looking for skilled and compassionate veterinary care. Sophie and I are so thankful to have found them!
