Foundations Animal Hospital Reviews
Dr. Al and the entire staff are amazing! My fiancé and I had taken in a precious old boy that lived in terrible terrible circumstances for his whole life. We brought him in to Foundations in an emergency. We had called frantic and they told us to come right in 🙌🏼 We were traumatized and frazzled and the staff were so comforting and understanding. We were working on giving him a new, wonderful life and had been bringing him back in for checkups and shots, the staff truly loved him! We only had him for 5 weeks until he passed completely unexpectedly. He was an older boy and we believe passed due to his age. He was living so fully though for those 5 weeks! Hours before passing he had a pup cup and we played fetch in the yard! I guess it was his best day and he was ready to go after that.. It was very surprising as well because the same day, I had actually brought him in for a visit with the staff and a nice picture of him for the office because he was looking amazing after a grooming and was doing so well! The staff was so kind and even cried with us when we brought him back in a few hours later after he passed... It was a shock to us all how much changed in just a couple of hours. You’re never ready. We received a card in the mail signed by the whole staff with personalized notes a few days later. We can never repay them for their kindness and care for our boy ❤️
May 09, 2025 · SaraI know reviews don’t give justice to ourselves or our pets but if it can help, someone make a better decision for their fur baby. I need to share what happened with my dad’s boy. This is cooper he was my dad’s dog, my father passed and cooper felt like the last tangible piece of my dad we had. Cooper was such a sweet boy, maybe even the sweetest. He was extremely affectionate to everyone, he didn’t know a stranger. My mom was in the process of moving and had to leave cooper with my brother, who lets him and his own dogs run free on their property and surrounding area, but with the cold moving in they were left inside for 6 hours and had gotten into the household trash. Cooper was only there a single day without my mom, she picked him up and brought him to me because I live closer to her apartment complex , he was waiting to get an updated rabie vax so she could take him home, but in 12 hrs he’s state of wellness decline he was peeing blood, at first he was able to control his bladder but that quickly changed he developed incontinence and the amount of blood was more, he was rush to Foundations Animal Hospital were he was all but denied care due to financial crisis, my moms on a fixed income. They had us try and apply for care credit and scratch pay, but we weren’t approved unfortunately. We could have set up a payment plan or anything but they require open ended funds before even touching your pet. Cooper was sent home with the suggestion of maybe having a bad uti, hours later coopers condition progressively worsened, so not having any options we rushed him back to foundations in hopes of getting any amount of compassion for our boy, we borrowed $118 from a family member, for their overnight hours exams fee, that basically covers nothing it paid for the vet to give a short physical exam, and an assumption for diagnosis, cooper had passed some blood onto the floor for them to see, it felt as though he felt bad for cooper so he did offer to prescribe him some antibiotics, and sent us on our way for the second time. Overnight cooper bled everywhere uncontrollably and by afternoon he was coughing up blood, we didn’t feel returning to foundations was in his best interest, my mother had called the humane society looking for help for him and they refused to help him unless she surrendered him, they told us to take him to AllTails animal hospital located inside pet smart, they took him in straight back and put us in a room, an X-ray showed that our poor boy had internal bleeding and he was drowning. We lost him yesterday. I’m writing this review to let others know that this organization does not help in a financial crisis, All Tails saved my dads boy from continued suffering and helped us by waiving his euthanasia fee, it was his only option. Please please go to an animal hospital that is financially secure so that they maybe be able to help you in your time of need.
Feb 23, 2025 · Cassie MarcusAbsolutely the best care for our furry family member! We couldn't be more grateful for Foundations Animal Hospital. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, professional, and clearly passionate about animals. Dr. Al is truly exceptional! He took his time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of our questions with patience and kindness, and treated our pet like his own.The entire team went above and beyond! Thank you, Dr Al and the amazing staff at foundations- we had a great experience, but most importantly, thank you for taking care of our Jasie.
Jun 07, 2025 · Wendy GassI was very impressed with all the compassionate and skilled care we received from Dr. Claiborne and his staff! We had an emergency surgery needed on a Saturday afternoon for a puppy we were caring for. He gave us all the options and the decision was made to have him perform the surgery that same day. He was very proficient in answering any questions or concerns we had. The puppy is doing really well post op. We also appreciated immensely that the total cost was much more reasonable than expected. All the staff from the front desk, to the vet techs were super friendly and took their time to be helpful and professional. Thank you for making the experience way less stressful than it could have been! We felt the whole time that we were in really good hands! 💙🐾
Mar 30, 2025 · Alysia T.I NEVER take the time to write a review for a business, but Foundations Animal Hospital deserves all the recognition for their incredible veterinarians and supporting staff that go above and beyond for our fur babies. When my cat, Tiggy, showed signs of sudden weight loss and sickness that I had never seen in her before, I called to see if I could get her in. They worked around my work schedule and allowed time in their schedule for her to be seen. The veterinarian was more thorough with her exam on my kitty than I had ever experienced at my regular doctor visits. I received the news that she was facing kidney failure and could no longer hide her pain. Tiggy stayed multiple nights where she was given all the proper treatment to try to hold onto hope that she could slightly recover to experience a somewhat normal life. The staff allowed me to visit multiple times during my lunch break to spend time with her. Tiggy got to spend one night at home in my arms, and sadly declined drastically in one night. The staff never left my side while comforting me and allowed me to hold Tiggy as she passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge. The card I received in the mail from all the staff members who took care of her was something very special to me. Everyone who is apart of Foundations Animal Hospital are guardian angels. I would never feel comfortable going anywhere else.
