In the heart of Deerfield, New Hampshire, Deerfield Veterinary Clinic has established itself as a cornerstone of animal healthcare, serving the community for decades with a remarkable commitment to comprehensive and continuous care.

We will explore their unique accessibility, the extensive range of services they offer for both large and small animals, and the consistent excellence highlighted by their long-term clients. For anyone seeking a dedicated veterinary partner in the Granite State, Deerfield Veterinary Clinic presents a compelling option.
Deerfield Veterinary Clinic is conveniently located at 150 S Rd, Deerfield, NH 03037, USA. This address places it centrally within Deerfield, a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. South Road provides relatively easy access for residents not only in Deerfield but also from surrounding towns such as Candia, Nottingham, Raymond, Epsom, and Northwood. Its rural yet accessible location makes it a practical choice for owners of large animals, as it allows for easier transport of horses, goats, and other farm animals compared to clinics in more congested urban settings.
Beyond its physical location, Deerfield Veterinary Clinic boasts a truly exceptional level of accessibility: they offer 24-hour service for their clients. This is a critical distinction that sets them apart from many practices. The reviews explicitly state, "They have never told us to take a cat/dog or other small animal to an emergency vet clinic because it was after hours." This commitment to providing around-the-clock support directly from their own staff for registered clients offers an immense sense of security for New Hampshire pet and livestock owners, especially when unexpected health issues arise outside of standard business hours.
Deerfield Veterinary Clinic provides an extensive range of veterinary services, catering to both companion animals and large animals, a mixed practice approach that is highly valued in more rural parts of New Hampshire. Their offerings are comprehensive, utilizing modern techniques and equipment:
Comprehensive Wellness and Preventative Care: This includes routine physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols for various species (dogs, cats, horses, goats, etc.), and robust parasite prevention and control programs essential for both pet and livestock health.
Large Animal Services: A key strength, they provide on-site care and "farm calls" for horses, goats, cows, sheep, llamas, and potentially other farm animals. Services include routine check-ups, vaccinations, deworming, dental care (e.g., teeth floating for equine), lameness evaluations, pre-purchase exams, and specialized care for breeding and herd health.
Small Animal Services: Dedicated care for dogs, cats, and rabbits, covering preventative medicine, routine medical care, and management of various illnesses and injuries.
Diagnostic Services: Equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, they offer digital radiography (X-rays) for rapid diagnosis both in-clinic and potentially on the road for large animals. They also have ultrasound capabilities and an in-house laboratory for quick processing of blood work, urinalysis, and fecal samples.
Surgical Services: They perform a wide variety of surgeries for both small and large animals, including routine elective procedures (spays, neuters) and more complex surgeries. They specifically mention the "Tightrope Procedure to Repair Cranial Cruciate Injuries in Dogs," indicating advanced orthopedic capabilities. All surgeries include robust anesthesia protocols and pain management.
Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services are available for both horses and small animals, from routine cleanings and teeth floating to more advanced procedures, addressing critical oral health for overall well-being.
24-Hour Emergency Services for Clients: As highlighted in reviews, they provide round-the-clock emergency care for their registered clients, a unique and invaluable service that prevents the need to seek out external emergency clinics after hours for many urgent situations.
Hospital Facilities for Overnight Treatment: They have hospital facilities to care for both large and small animals requiring overnight treatment and monitoring, ensuring continuous care for critically ill or recovering patients.
Assisted Breeding Services: For owners involved in breeding, they offer assisted breeding services for both dogs and horses.
Therapeutic Laser and Physical Therapy: Providing advanced therapeutic modalities like therapeutic laser and physical therapy for small animals to aid in recovery, pain management, and mobility.
Endoscopy: Utilizing an endoscope for both large and small animals, allowing for minimally invasive internal examinations.
Pharmacy: Maintaining an in-house pharmacy for convenient access to necessary medications.
Health Certificates: Providing electronic interstate and international health certificates for animals traveling or showing, a vital service for owners who travel with their pets or livestock.
Deerfield Veterinary Clinic consistently receives high praise for several key features that resonate strongly with New Hampshire animal owners:
Exceptional 24-Hour Emergency Care for Clients: This is a defining feature. The unwavering commitment to being available "24 hours a day for their clients" and never turning them away to an emergency clinic after hours is immensely reassuring and a rarity in modern veterinary practice. It provides unparalleled peace of mind for both pet and livestock owners.
Broad Spectrum of Care (Mixed Practice): Their expertise in caring for both "large animals" (horses, goats, etc.) and "small animals" (dogs, cats) makes them a versatile and invaluable resource for families in New Hampshire, particularly in areas where mixed animal practices are essential.
Consistently Top-Notch Care from All Vets: Clients universally praise the quality of care, noting it has been "top-notch" for "decades." The reviews specifically highlight multiple veterinarians—Dr. Robyn (life-saving emergency surgery), Dr. George (quick calls, excellent advice, often on call), Dr. Kim (guiding new puppy owners), and Dr. Brittany (thorough, patient, caring)—each contributing to a consistently high standard of evidenced-based veterinary medicine.
Compassionate and Friendly Staff: The entire staff is repeatedly described as "friendly," "patient," and "caring." This nurturing environment fosters trust and comfort for animals and their owners, even during stressful times.
Excellent Wait Times and Efficient Practice: Clients appreciate that office visits are managed efficiently with "excellent wait times," indicating a well-run and organized practice that respects clients' time.

Deerfield Veterinary Clinic Reviews
Deerfield Veterinary Clinic has been caring for our large animals for decades. We have horses and have had a goat as well. Healthy or ill, the care from the Vets and staff at Deerfield Vet has been top notch and I highly recommend them for anyone needing a vet. They are a 24 hour service for their clients. They have never told us to take a cat/dog or other small animal to an emergency vet clinic because it was after hours. We're down to our last elder horse and after his time is over, we may not need a large animal vet anymore, but we are thankful for their years of care for our fur family.B&K
Mar 23, 2025 · Bruce & Karin DDeerfield Vet takes wonderful care of our beloved pet. The staff is always friendly and the wait times are excellent. We have seen all of the vets and have always received exceptional care. From Dr. Robyn, who performed life-saving emergency surgery on our dog; to Dr. George who is often on call when we have questions and returns our calls quickly and with excellent advice; Dr. Kim who saw our pet as a puppy and walked us through all of our new owner questions; and most recently Dr. Brittany, who was thorough, patient and caring as always! We are entering our 5th year with Deerfield Vet Clinic and we wouldn't go anywhere else. We are so thankful for their evidenced-based care and the efficient way that they run their practice.
Feb 26, 2025 · Jessica McIntyreOver the weekend I noticed my Nigerian dwarf goats had developed a small cough, come Monday morning one of my girls was feeling really ill.I called a few local vet offices in my area and no one was available to check them out and told me check back in 6+ months for availability.I ended up emailing Deerfield vet Tuesday morning around 8am and received an email back from Kayla around 9am with some information and a friendly note to call into the office whenever it was convenient for me, so I called into the office and and she had an appointment for me the same day (absolutely amazing) I brought my goat onyxIn for a check up with DR. Worobey and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We received our medications and instructions for administering them. the goats are now on track to feeling betterThanks to DR. Worobey And her team. We could not thank you enough for the wonderful service- sincerely Mark Ricci
