Mountain Empire Small Animal Hospital Reviews
Outstanding in every respect! This has been my mom‘s animal hospital for many many years, and today we had to say goodbye to my mom‘s 20 year-old dog. My mom is in her late 80s and was really struggling to say goodbye to Buffy. The doctors at Mountain Empire Animal Hospital handled the goodbye process with dignity and respect for both my mother and her dog. They were outstanding, as I’ve noted, but also compassionate, kind, and efficient.Thank you all for helping my mother and Buffy with this transition.
Jul 01, 2025 · Lockie HunterI can't say enough good about this place. We had two dogs that were sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Our regular vet couldn't get them in for a couple of days. I called this place and they got us in right away. Everyone we encountered was great to deal with. Dr. Lily took plenty of time with us and our pets and answered all our questions. We will be switching to this office going forward. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
May 22, 2025 · Sabrina BrownWe love this clinic. They saved our 14 yr old cat Nala. She had an upper respiratory infection going on 10 days. She had to had fluids daily and help with food. She wasn't eating or drinking. There's no doubt in my mind that she wouldn't have lived if it wasn't for the caring vets Dr. Dobson and Dr. Hart.
Jun 20, 2024 · Tabatha CarterDisappointing and Stressful ExperienceI had a very upsetting experience at this clinic today. When I brought my 1-year-old dog in for an appointment—his first visit to the vet since he was a small puppy—he whined a couple of times and wanted to meet another dog. By the time we got to the waiting room, they were already pushing anxiety medicine on us because he was whining.Dr. Tracy Lilly attempted to muzzle my dog only twice, with each attempt lasting just a couple of minutes, but was unsuccessful. After being gone for a few minutes, she came back and was immediately frustrated with the situation. Instead of approaching the situation with care and patience, she spoke to me in a belittling tone, making me feel as though I wasn't capable of properly caring for my dog. She said things like "I don't treat under the chair dogs" and suggested that I needed to have my dog trained properly so he could be treated in the future. My dog, understandably nervous, backed away and pawed off the muzzle attempts. Rather than attempting to calm him or work with him, Dr. Lilly seemed more annoyed than compassionate. She couldn't treat my dog and essentially told me I needed to sedate him before the next visit. I spent $112 for a consultation that resulted in nothing but sedatives and frustration. Even after diagnosing a yeast infection in my dog’s ear, she refused to provide any medication, stating she couldn’t clean his ear because she didn’t have his "permission."It became clear that every negative, belittling comment she made was actually a sales pitch to get us to buy training lessons from one of her coworkers. Overall, I left feeling ignored, judged, and completely dissatisfied with the level of care and professionalism. I expected more understanding and patience from a veterinary professional, especially when dealing with anxious pets. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Tracy Lilly or this clinic based on this experience.
Sep 06, 2024 · Bri CFriday night my sick cat took a turn for the worse. My regular vets were closed. The Airport Emergency Vet was so busy they didn't answer. I called another vet that recommended Mountain Empire. I called and they were very accommodating and compassionate in aiding in putting my almost 18 year old cat to sleep. I would highly recommend them. Thank you all for your care. 🐾💔🐈❤
