Spay Neuter Society Introduce
In a state that prides itself on community and care, Texans understand the importance of responsible pet ownership. A crucial part of this is ensuring our furry companions have access to quality healthcare, especially for procedures like spaying and neutering. For many in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Spay Neuter Society in Lewisville stands out as a vital resource. This clinic is dedicated to offering affordable and compassionate veterinary services, making essential procedures accessible to a wider range of pet owners. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the Spay Neuter Society, exploring its mission, services, and what makes it a highly recommended choice for local residents from their perspective.
Spaying and neutering are not just about preventing pet overpopulation; they are also key components of a pet's long-term health plan, offering benefits like a reduced risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues. However, the cost of these surgeries can be a significant barrier for many families. Spay Neuter Society was founded on the principle of making this critical care affordable without compromising on quality or safety. As one customer review perfectly states, the "low cost" is a huge "deal" and a major relief, especially since these procedures can be "so expensive." This clinic's commitment to accessibility allows more people to be responsible pet parents and gives their animals a healthier, happier life.
Beyond affordability, the clinic’s professional and kind staff are a consistent theme in customer praise. From the very first contact, whether through email or in person, the team is described as "professional and prompt." They take the time to answer questions and address concerns, which is especially important for pet parents who are new to the process or have anxious pets. One reviewer with a dog of a "brachycephalic breed" (like a Shih Tzu or bulldog) felt completely comfortable after the staff took the time to review photos and answer all of their questions, highlighting the clinic's thoughtful and personalized approach to safety.
The clinic also has a strong community focus, offering a much-needed service for feral cat populations. They accept a limited number of feral cats each day for surgery without an appointment, a practice that is a "huge relief" for those involved in cat rescue. This flexible approach, combined with their low-cost services, makes them an invaluable partner for animal welfare advocates. The system of texting upon arrival helps to minimize stress for the animals by avoiding crowded waiting rooms, and the quiet, clean environment further contributes to a positive experience.
Spay Neuter Society is conveniently located at 1260 W Round Grove Rd #400, Lewisville, TX 75067, USA. Its location is easily accessible for people in Lewisville and the surrounding areas, including those making the drive from places like Grapevine Mills, as one reviewer mentioned. The clinic is also mindful of accessibility for all patrons, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot. The use of a text-in system for check-in further enhances the convenience, allowing pet owners to wait comfortably in their vehicles until it's their turn. Appointments are recommended for owned pets to ensure a smooth and timely experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went here to take my 7 month old dog to get neutered & had a great experience! Being that my dog is a mix of a "brachycephalic breed" (shih tzu, bulldogs, etc) I had to send in photos to ensure they could safely operate on him & of course as a pet parent, I had my questions & concerns but they were very helpful & answered all the questions I had so I felt comfortable taking my baby here! Check-In & Pick up was super quick & smooth! Appreciate the low cost very much as Spaying/neutering can be so expensive! 10/10 would come here again for another pet!
June 16 · Alexis HuizarFrom my first contact with the clinic, emailing them with questions, they were professional and prompt, very good experience with them.I had two feral kittens and they gave me all the information I needed to be prepared for the surgery. They take ferals every day, but only 10, and no appointments for the ferals. If you have any experience in cat rescue, you know that typically you have arrive ridiculously early and wait, and you might not get in. The person I was emailing assured me they never meet the 10 feral cat quota, which was a huge reliefYou text them when you arrive and they tell you when to come in, which is wonderful you don’t have other animals traumatizing your animals. The clinic is clean, and quiet and the staff is wonderful, professional and kind.It was such a wonderful experience. I was able to get the kittens neutered and rabies shots, along with flea treatment for 3 minths(they have a menu of services). The neuter/rabies was $45, which is a great deal. They also do spay neuter for pets, and you can make an appointment.I cannot recommend them enough. They are located by grapevine mills, which is a drive for me, but totally worth it.
July 04 · madre de los gatos (madredelosgatos)This is really such a fantastic facility and team. My dog has anxiety and I let them know ahead of his scheduled surgery, so they had me bring him in a few days beforehand in order to prescribe him medicine for the morning of so he wouldn’t be terrified / stressed out. They let me bring him in for a later drop off time and did his surgery first so he wouldn’t be awake too much of his time there and I am really so grateful for this experience. The staff and doctor were all super kind and knowledgeable as well. And I really appreciate the comprehensive take home instructions!Overall, very happy to have picked this practice and wish I could bring my pups for regular check ups here! Thank you for taking care of my sweet baby! 🩷
April 17 · Nicole KopchakI really appreciate the staff being so informative and straightforward without sugar coating anything (but they’re still very nice too)! We’ve been taking care of outdoor cats for almost a year now and wanted to be responsible by getting them fixed. They took great care of our babies with their spays. They keep you updated during the process and are upfront about costs so you’re not blindsided with any hidden fees. I also appreciate the process of getting an appointment online, they make it really easy. The one person at a time for drop off is also awesome - it seemed to help with less stress on the animals. Additionally, I’ve emailed them regarding our cat’s healing process and they’ve responded quickly/helped with any questions I have. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. 🩷
February 21 · Alyssa KellyI used this practice for my 2 yr old male GSD’s neuter surgery to try to save some money. They took great care of Cayman! I notified them of Cayman’s anxiety in the paperwork and they took every precaution to make sure he would do fine. We did a pre-surgery consultation, got him a late check-in time on surgery day and additional meds after the surgery when things weren’t healing up as quickly as anticipated. The vet was available through email for any Q’s I had too! I honestly did not expect how rough the post-surgery recovery was going to be and the constant medication administration, but this practice was so helpful and there to help along the way! We are about a month out and Cayman is pretty much back to normal. Very thankful for this team!
