★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Sorry for the lengthy review but we are pretty furious. Worth the read.Run, don't walk. Absolutely baffled by how awful our visit was. Our 20 year old cat is very bright eyed, loving, and energetic. She suddenly went from her normal perky sweet self to being very lethargic and unable to balance herself within only 12 hours. Brought her in to see the staff here at Lakeway immediately (our first time here). I don't remember her name but the veterinary doctor who examined her was very monotone and unsociable. Did some blood work (for which we waited over an hour for!) and was told everything looked pretty normal. We were told many times how old she is (which of course we are aware of). As they were about to send us home I had to ASK her to check her ears because one appeared infected with possible mites (coffee ground ear wax). She then leaves the room and has one of the vet techs come in to give her a syringe of medicine in her ear and send us home with an antibiotic. No guidelines or communication other than "antibiotic twice a day." Over the weekend her ear starts leaking fluid and we are a bit panicked about if it was normal or not.The following Monday rolls around and she is worse. We call and ask about the ear leaking. "Oh that's normal." Could you not have warned us before we left?? We tell them she is worse and we are told: "Well she is pretty old so it may be time to consider her quality of life." How can a cat age from acting like a normal middle aged cat to on her death bed in the span of half a day?!She's been to see Dr. Boley at Camden Animal Doctor before and he was wonderful so we drove the 30-45 minutes for a second opinion. He gently picks her up and looks at her eyes and says "Oh, she's just extremely dehydrated. We'll just get her on a different antibiotic and put her on some fluids with vitamins for a day or two."A week later she's completely normal and back to her old self. The amount of dismissal when I tried to vouch for our sweet baby is jaw dropping. They could have convinced us to kill our cat over DEHYDRATION??? Never ever coming back here. Over $200, a two hour venture to a simple vet visit, and a week of trauma and sobbing later, we are so glad we didn't listen. Dr. Boley at The Animal Doctor in Camden is the only place we're going from now. The entire staff is incredible. May 12 · Skylar Brooks
- Absolutely would not recommend. They just treated my mother like garbage. She brought her cat in to be looked at whom is very sick right now. She owed a balance of 100 dollars that she was unaware of , trying to figure thst situation escalated into the doctor telling my mom to " cut her losses since she couldnt even pay her today". My mother had the money for the clinical visit today. No, not everyone has a million dollars , nor does it cost as much to LOVE and care for animals. Its sad the vets would rather let an animal SUFFER. Would give 0 stars if that was an option. August 19 · Sunshine Parker
- Everyone is super sweet. They took care of our pup when we took her in to have her fixed. Very reasonable pricing. Will definitely go back and highly recommend. July 18 · Carson Brown
- People here are Amazing so very nice and understanding, Could it ask for a better place to take my Kitty cat? May 27 · Glen Aldridge
- Dr. Stephanie is always very thorough. She comes in knowing what was going on at your last visit and is ready to help in anyway she can. She is kind and compassionate and knowledgeable. We will keep her❤️ May 25 · Donna
