Based on the nature of a general "Animal Clinic" and the provided customer feedback, a local veterinary office typically offers a range of services for common companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. While a detailed list of every single service is best confirmed directly with the clinic, expected services often include:
- General Wellness Exams: Routine physical check-ups to assess a pet's overall health, monitor for any changes, and discuss preventative measures.
- Vaccinations: Administration of core and non-core vaccinations to protect pets from various infectious diseases common in the Virginia area.
- Diagnostic Testing: This typically includes common laboratory tests such as blood work (e.g., CBC, chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal exams to help diagnose illnesses and monitor health. The provided customer feedback specifically mentions blood tests.
- Heartworm Testing and Prevention: Given its prevalence, heartworm testing and preventative medication are standard offerings for canine patients.
- Basic Medical Consultations: Addressing specific concerns about a pet's health, including symptoms of illness or injury.
- Surgical Procedures: While not explicitly detailed, general animal clinics commonly perform routine surgeries like spaying and neutering, and possibly other minor soft tissue surgeries.
- Microchipping: Offering microchip implantation for pet identification, increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners.
- Parasite Control: Advice and products for flea, tick, and other internal/external parasite prevention and treatment.
It is important for prospective clients to verify the availability of specific diagnostic tests or treatment options directly with Animal Clinic to ensure they can meet their pet's particular needs.
Based on the provided customer reviews, Animal Clinic has certain features and highlights that stand out, offering insights into the client experience:
- Friendly Staff and Clean Facility: One consistent positive highlight is the presence of a "Friendly staff" and a "clean facility." A welcoming and hygienic environment can significantly contribute to a more comfortable experience for both pets and their owners during visits.
- Compassionate Support During Difficult Times: The clinic's staff demonstrated remarkable compassion, giving a client "the time I needed to grieve over losing my beloved Shih Tzu" and even sending a "beautiful card in the mail." This level of empathy in sensitive situations is a strong indicator of a caring team.
- Potential for Transparency Issues (as per one review): One detailed review raises significant concerns regarding transparency in billing and diagnostic recommendations. The customer described being charged for tests that were allegedly unnecessary or misrepresented (e.g., blood test for poison, heartworm test when not requested) and feeling pressured to pay a high bill for services that ultimately did not provide the expected diagnostic outcome, leading to a reduction in the bill after a dispute. This suggests potential inconsistencies in communication or billing practices that prospective clients should be aware of.
- Varied Client Experiences: The contrasting nature of the reviews—one highlighting extreme compassion and satisfaction, the other expressing severe dissatisfaction over billing and perceived dishonesty—indicates that individual experiences at Animal Clinic may vary significantly. This diversity in feedback is an important consideration for potential clients.
Prospective clients should weigh these varied experiences when deciding if Animal Clinic is the right fit for their pet's needs, and perhaps consider discussing fees and proposed procedures clearly upfront.

Animal Clinic Reviews
check your bills and make sure you know what you are paying for!! this is by far the most dishonest vet clinic I’ve ever encountered. Courtney lied and told me they would be able to do a blood test to confirm if my dog was poisoned. When I got there the vet told me that there was no way for them to be able to tell if he had poison by the blood test and either way they would send me to the emergency room. they wasted my time and my money… then had the audacity to slap me with a $500 vet bill for blood work I shouldn’t have even had done if they were going to send me to emergency care anyways. They admitted to charging me for 2 tests that totaled $230… that didnt even need to be done. They also charged me $60 for a heart worm test?! I wasn’t even there for a Heartworm test. There were other customer there that had sympathized with me because everyone knew this was so wrong. The owner had to ask me how to handle the situation!!! I told him to be fair. But this wasn’t fair. He cut the bill in half after he finally admitted they were immoral…
