The Pet Clinic of Martinsville Reviews
6-12-25 First time going to The Pet Clinic of Martinsville. What an amazing experience! We unexpectedly had to put our dog down and they fit us right in and all the staff members and doctors were incredibly helpful, supportive and understanding. We were there past the closing time and they stayed so we could spend time with our dog. Will definitely be taking my other dog here from now on and spreading the word! 💝
Jun 13, 2025 · Erika TrappDr.Lorens and all of his staff here are soo very compassionate and treat my baby like their own every visit ! She is always soo excited to be seen !
Mar 03, 2025 · Beth MooreI am from out of state & needed a vet for my 5 yr old golden. This place fit me in same day I called. Very helpful on the phone & every person I encountered at the facility was so caring of my boy. I was in & out in no time at all with a happy pup! Many thanks to the vet & staff for caring for us and not over charging us.
Mar 25, 2025 · Nadene FrelickAt first I was pleased with this facility however at my second visit with my 14 week old Great Dane several of the employees didn’t attempt to allow my puppy to know that they were going to be touching him or giving him shots. They just immediately got in his face and was grabbing at him, then when he got scared and started to bark it was automatically assumed that he was aggressive. One tech that works there and has many Great Danes of her own came in spoke to mine took a few seconds to allow him to sniff her and then she started petting him with no issues at all. He has manners and can respond to several commands, as previously stated he is only 14 weeks old and every time I have taken him to the park for socializing there hasn’t been any other pets to interact with, I have taken him to several places (Tractor Supply, Rual King and even Hobby Lobby and pet stores) during each and every outing no issues yet the vet comes to the room after his shots and starts telling me that I NEED to enroll my puppy in obedience training because he’s to aggressive. I explain to her that he is not aggressive if you know how to approach an animal it would help and she continued to insist that I enroll him in obedience training, now this is only my second Great Dane but my first was a perfect angel so I’m pretty sure I can and will handle his socialization and create better habits for him given some time. My only concern here is maybe just maybe several of those employees are in the wrong line of work if your job is working with a huge variety of pets and they clearly don’t know how to interact with them. While I was checking out I asked about my sons chart to schedule a shave for a cat, I explained that she needed a shave and I was asked if I wanted the lion cut, I told her if that’s the same cut she got last time yes. The appointment was scheduled and the day of appointment when she was being dropped off they asked what service she was getting, they were told that she needed a shave and was due for a shot, couple hours later they call to verify what she was getting done then minutes later called his wife to ask again why the cat was there… at this point I am truly concerned for every pet that enters the facility as they clearly are not organized nor do they know how to interact with pets. Several of the staff members seemed very friendly but they were not the ones treating the animals so use caution if you choose this clinic for your pet… I will be looking for a new vet!
Mar 11, 2025 · Janie AllenKind, compassionate people providing a service to my family and pets. Dr. Lorenz is a skilled vet, and his receptionists and nurses are always kind. They answer my questions and go above and beyond to help my pets. After my first visit years ago I knew why people told me to go there. They really care.
