Sunrise Hill Veterinary Hospital Introduce
Serving the residents, farmers, and pet owners of Creighton and the surrounding rural communities of Nebraska, **Sunrise Hill Veterinary Hospital** is a cornerstone of comprehensive animal healthcare. This facility is distinctive in that it expertly balances the needs of **Small Animal Services**, such as family dogs and cats, with extensive **Large Animal Services** necessary for the region's agricultural vitality. The hospital provides a broad range of general veterinary services, from routine preventative care and vaccinations to advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures.
The core philosophy of Sunrise Hill Veterinary Hospital is built on providing high-level medical care with genuine **Compassionate Service**. This dedication extends beyond regular business hours, as the clinic is noted for its availability for emergencies, a critical feature in a largely rural area. As one grateful customer recounted, the willingness of the staff, including a specific mention of Dr. Guthmiller, to answer a late-night holiday call and immediately come into the clinic for an emergency showcases their commitment to animal welfare, often saving pets' lives during highly stressful times. This availability is invaluable for residents traveling across the Midwest.
However, users seeking care should be mindful of the importance of consistent communication and understanding the full scope of services, particularly during after-hours care. While the practice aims to deliver the highest standard of care, ensuring the attending veterinarian is fully aware of an animal’s specific condition and the potential side effects of treatments, such as gastrointestinal bleeding from steroids, is essential for a positive outcome. Customers are encouraged to maintain open dialogue with the staff regarding their pet's condition and any prior medical history.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I owe everything to these guys!! I’ve never had a wonderful experience in a stressful situation. I was heading back to CO from MN when my dog was having an allergic reaction. It was a holiday at 1am and nothing was open. It wasn’t until I called Sunrise Hill and Dr.Guthmiller answered!!! I was so blessed that he answered and was willing to come into the clinic at 1am and help my baby!! Thanks to him I was able to finish my journey home with my puppy!!! July 06 · Hailey Cossetta
- Our Riley was misdiagnosed and was given steroids which caused gastrointestinal bleeding. He should have been monitored for that! Every article I’ve read and other vets I’ve spoken with confirm that. We were never even warned that could happen. We lost our precious boy when he bled to death internally. We never should have taken Riley there after learning Dr. Guthmiller was not the attending veterinarian that weekend. Riley would more than likely be alive today if he had been. - They were super great. They were able to see my on short notice and they were so warm and welcoming. Treated me like they knew me and I had been going there my whole life even though that was the first time I had ever been there since we are new to the area. I was so happy with our experience I will definitely be using them all the time. October 30 · Spotted Hide Ranch
- I have been bringing my pugs here for 4 almost 5 years and they have always been wonderful. I recently had to put my pug Lola to sleep and as any pet parent can imagine how devastating that was. The folks at Sunrise Hill Veterinary Hospital were so helpful and compassionate to our pain and the Dr helped me make the right choice. Thank you all so much. January 26 · love my life
- A tough day, having to put my 11 year old lab down. Lynn Guthmiller was understanding, sympathetic and professional during the whole process, even letting us do the procedure in our vehicle because my dog Roscoe was in so much intense pain that we didn't want to move him any further. Thank youTaking it even further he explained what the tumor that we could see was and what it was likely doing to his body from the inside.Living in omaha I've used 3 different vet clinics and always feel kinda used and uninformed after vet visits. Lynn is a straight shooter lays it out plain, and I appreciate that. May 27 · shane andersen
