Routine Exams & Preventative Care: This foundational service encompasses annual check-ups, vaccinations, and parasite control to maintain pets' overall health and prevent diseases. This proactive approach helps ensure pets lead long, healthy lives.
Spay/Neuter Procedures: Performing common surgical procedures like spaying and neutering, with an emphasis on meticulous surgical technique and post-operative care, as evidenced by a customer's positive experience with well-done stitches.

Professional and Caring Staff: Beyond kindness, the staff and veterinary team are consistently described as "very nice and professional," ensuring a high standard of service.
Excellent Boarding Facilities: For pet owners needing boarding services, the hospital provides a clean environment where "cages always clean" and dogs are "taken out one at a time for fenced enclosure exercise." This attention to detail and individual care for boarded pets provides great peace of mind.
Positive Pet Experience: Even the pets seem to enjoy their visits, with one owner noting, "My dog likes to come here when boarding is necessary." This indicates a positive atmosphere that helps reduce pet anxiety.

Wilkes Veterinary Hospital Reviews
They all are wonderful. I am such a worrisome person and I absolutely trust staff with my pet. I am very impressed with her stitches from her spay, they look very well done. The staff is very kind and reassuring. At other clinics, it feels like they want you and your pet out as quickly as possible with much room for mistakes. Thank you for being kind to me and my kitty. We’re moving soon, but plan to drive the 40 minutes to continue coming. We love your team.
Jan 02, 2025 · Edith EdwardsThe staff and veterinary team are very nice and professional. My dog likes to come here when boarding is necessary. Cages always clean and dogs are taken out one at a time for fenced enclosure exercise.
Jan 11, 2025 · Laura “Willywonka”I am very pleased with this clinic. The staff are attentive to my concerns. They have a wonderful sense of what my babies are feeling and how to reassure them (and me)! The doctors are top notch, explain on my level and never rush during the exam. I drive from Greensboro to have care at this clinic and it’s the best decision I’ve made for my pets(my babies)
Nov 08, 2024 · Beth McKewPoseidon Princeton Martinez was handled with such care and nice staff. We didn't spend a long time waiting to be seen and they got him seen and his 3 shots and out in no time. My baby was good and didn't even make noise when they gave him his shots. Thanks you guys. You're helping me keep my baby my grandma sent me from heaven (long story) healthy and well. He's the second most important being I have in my life and your care and professionalism here is noticed and recommendable.
Sep 16, 2024 · Emilio MartinezI've had dogs seen here over the past 10+ years and I've never had a problem. Until today May 1st 2025 / 4:34 pm. I called to confirm my dogs appointment and the receptionist was rude from the first words out of her mouth. Then proceeded to tell me that my name, dogs, or even my phone number was intheir system. Completely shocked, I simply told her I'd find another Vet since I don't exist in their system anymore. Of course, she didn't offer to help the situation. Yes, I'm disappointed because I love Dr. Royal. She's cared for 5 of my beloved companions. She can blame that receptionist for losing a loyal customer.
