Waltham Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Dr. Merola has taken excellent care of our cat Parker for twelve years, since he was a kitten, from regular visits to minor surgical procedures to the regular expressing of, shall we say, certain glands that, were I to attempt it, would draw back a stump.I have found her to be gentle and caring with our little guy, and very understanding with regard to scheduling when he sees the cat carrier coming and hides under the bed.I chose Dr. Merola simply because I knew where her office was the day a kitten came to my door, but it proved to be good one. Highly recommended.

Mar 20, 2025 · Tammy KahnDr. Merola is always wonderful with my two dogs Panda and Leo. We love her practical approach to their care, and it's obvious she loves dogs.
Apr 10, 2025 · Gloria FerrerI would absolutely not bring your animal here, even if it’s the only place w availability, go to urgent care.We brought our brand new kittens (9 weeks) in bc it was the only place that could take new appointments around us in a reasonable amount of time. It’s a 1 woman show and the space is dirty and poorly kept (probably because no staff). She did not have our kittens best interest in mind at all. Our cats were showing visible legions of ringworm and I had a spot of it on my own arm so we brought them in and she said they didn’t have it and didn’t treat them for it. She treated them for the rare case of fur mites (which our new vet confirmed they didn’t have). We looked up some of the other vaccines/meds she gave them, one was DISCONTINUED, and she didn’t have kitten doses on hand (even though she said she’d order) and just cut an adult dose in half and gave it to each of them which she then over charged us for 3 doses of that medicine when they split 1 dose. She later corrected with a check because she “didn’t know how” to cancel the transaction. She also includes a hefty card fee on top of everything else, I’m not sure who carries $700+ in cash with them on a daily basis which is what our visits cost every time we had to bring them in (3x in 1 month). For the “staff” that she isn’t paying you’d think she’d be a little bit cheaper, or at least provide a “vet tech discount” for us as we were directed to scruff and SHAKE the kittens while she gave them shots, among other things. We brought them to a new vet and they’re on oral and topical medication for ringworm and have massive raw legions on their bodies because it wasn’t caught sooner…
Aug 08, 2022 · xWithout any children of our own, our fur baby is our only child. I would not trust any other doctor with my baby boy! Dr. Merola is the smartest, with the most amazing temperament, and attentiveness with the animals when seeing them. If you’re call ncerned that her desk may be a mess... then your priorities are in the wrong place.
