MSPCA-Angell West Reviews
Aldo and I love the welcoming atmosphere. We were excited to return this year after our first visit last year when we moved here from South Florida! We also love that we don't generally have to wait very long.I greatly appreciate the honesty and transparency from Dr. Shields & team about treatment options and pricing. What I appreciated most about Angell is the passion and love among the staff. You can tell everyone is genuinely passionate about helping animals, and it shows through them openly loving everyone's pet just as they would love their own!!
Jun 06, 2025 · Arielle TorresDEEPLY Irresponsible vet ( Gordon ) who was throwing out serious diagnosis without running ANY proper diagnostics or testing?. Unprofessional and borderline fear mongering. Unnecessary, coercive, and pushy approach for sedation for a calm and stable dog. I was in the room with them maybe ten minutes “talking” before walking out. They still tried to charge me over $300?! Manager ( Ali ) called me to discuss and she was not only unreasonable but disturbingly unwilling to reflect a price change or take ANY accountability for her staff and the situation. I will be continuing to contest the outrages bill. We will not only not be back but I HIGHLY advise to go to tufts or ANY other establishment if possible. This is an office who doesn’t care about you or your animal as individuals.. treating you like a statistic or number attempting to terrify you into raising the bill as high as possible. Absolutely insane experience. Follow your intuition.
Jun 14, 2025 · Samantha Hillarythe emergency vet saw my turtle IMMEDIATELY and were extremely friendly to both owners and pets. you can tell these vets really care about both the animals and the owners of pets. very friendly staff 10/10 recommend :)
Jun 24, 2025 · michaela melchinNot a very good experience at all. Every opportunity is taken to charge for something else with very poor transparency on the billing, line items and cycle when they charge for hours stayed. My dog went because of days of vomiting but was alert and happy. After one night there he was picked up and was lethargic and walking with an obvious limp. The staff denied observing any limp… After 2 days he’s still lethargic and still limping and maybe 50% better. I’ve had dogs for decades and this is the worst experience I’ve had at an emergency vet.I’ll never go back
Jun 10, 2025 · Mary WorthingtonThe staff here are amazing, I unfortunately had to put one of my pets down. I decided to cremate him and he came back in a very nice wooden box, along with a clay imprint of his paws. Everybody was very understanding and caring through the whole process. If you need any emergency vet care, I highly recommend this organization.
