Fish Bowl Aquarium & Pet Mart Reviews
Not a customer but I am an avid reader of reviews when I'm researching something, and I just have to say, I believe every word these negative reviews are saying, not even for the consistency of what's being complained about, but solely for your own immature responses. There are ways for establishments to be defensive when they recieve opinions that may hurt their business----they are tactful, they try to level with their customers by providing a sense of understanding while politely asserting themselves. They do not speak like Donald Trump on Twitter.A person states fact after fact and your chosen response is "complete lies." How mature. I hope you realize just how telling your behavior is. You lost a potential customer by your attitude through the screen alone. I can't wait to read how you tell me off for my incompetence next. Do better, both by ethics and entrepreneurship.Edit:Thanks for playing along :)You’re the one who needs luck, buddy. And also grammar classes and reading comprehension skills.
Jun 28, 2025 · Ali BryantI’ve been going here for almost a year now. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable, honest, and always helpful with the fish. I have always appreciated how they will steer me away from fish they know will not thrive in my tank!
Jun 01, 2024 · Megan Pinkston-CampI had gone here a few times to purchase fish for my 55 gallon aquarium and loved coming because of their wide selection and variety of fish. I also loved that they were a small local place, different from Petco or Petsmart. When I had questions, the staff gave me limited information and did not seem to know the answers (which is okay because nobody knows everything!) however, they were not super friendly either making the experience worse for me. I had also noticed lots of dead and sick fish in their tanks but with having the amount of tanks they do, I looked past this. After many of my fish died very soon after addition, I realized there may be more to it. And at my very last visit to this store, I saw that they sell puppies, solidifying my reason for cessation of business. They have them all in tiny cages, and I do not want to support something that looks too similar to a puppy mill.
May 28, 2025 · Emily LefebreI went to look at fish, but when I walked in I saw sad looking puppies in cages. Please don't buy a "pure bred" dog from a pet store, without seeing AKC papers listing their ancestry. Most of these dogs are puppy mill dogs, are inbred and often have major health problems as a result. If you want a pure bred dog get them from a breeder. Not from somewhere that keeps puppies in big fish tanks.I thought pet stores stopped doing this in the 80s.Edit: USDA inspection doesn't mean that the dogs aren't inbred or humanely treated. All breeders that sell to pet stores are required to be USDA.Also, posting an honest review is not "bad mouthing".To anyone considering getting a dog here, read the MANY yelp reviews outlining absolute horror stories of family dogs from this place dying young of genetic diseases. It's absolutely heartbreaking.
Feb 24, 2025 · Chris HFirst of all I have had fish for 20 years no problem. The tanks and water are perfect. I got 5 fish from fishbowl 2 weeks ago to add to my new 75 gallon tank. Within 2 days all were dead. I gave fishbowl the benefit of the doubt and decided maybe I did something wrong. I drained my tank started over and left the tank for 2 weeks without fish to make sure the water was perfect. Today I gave them another chance and got 3 fish from there, literally all dead in 2 hrs. I call the store and a very unapologetic and rude girl answered. Didn’t offer any type of sympathy or try to make things right just got straight attitude from her. I should have known better when I saw so many dead fish in there tanks. Also I got 2 marrow bones for my dogs that cost me $15 and within half an hour they both snapped in half. Thankfully I keep an eye on my dogs when they have bones because they could have eaten shards. I would strongly recommend staying away from this store for the safety of yr dogs life and wasting money on fish that die because they DO NOT CARE!!!From his childish response you can see exactly what I’m talking about. Not 1 person has tried to fix the issue. All someone has to do is walk into the filthy fish room and they will see.
