★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone that I interacted with at this location. From calling in for an appointment (same day) to check in to check out. The vet that I spoke with was empathetic to our dog's pain and recommended reasonable treatment. This team is wonderful. Whiskey sends a big thank you!
April 04 · Desiree GionetToday, Saturday August 16, 2025, my dog (Biscuit, male, Beagle) was treated for ear and paw infection. The vet seemed very sweet, but I doubt she know what she’s doing as she keep addressing my dog is “she”, although I tried to address my dog as “he”. Biscuit always has allergies in summertime. The other vets at Bainfield New Castle know that. They told me to keep Biscuit paws clean and dry as humid can create more allergy to him. But this Vet, continuing talk about allergy because of food, and suggested me to buy the food from the link she willing to provide. Also using water and shampoo to soak Biscuit paws. During the phone call, she talk a lot like she do care about Biscuit, but in the end, it’s all about try to sell the product as she didn’t let me talk or ask question. Few weeks ago, Biscuit had ear infection, after treating as instructed, the infection is gone. 2 days ago, when cleaning Biscuit’s ear, I noticed the ear got infection again, I did use the same medication as we still have the remaining from last time, but this medication doesn’t help, that was why we took Biscuit to see the vet. The vet should check Biscuit record before prescribing the medication without discuss with pet’s owner. The vet today did give Biscuit the same medication that we still have at home without telling me the name of that medication. My husband picked up Biscuit today for the first time, he doesn’t know what kind of medication, he just paid and went home. When I noticed the medication is the same, I called to return, but the receptionist refused to take it back, as it against Bainfield’s policy, and asked me to wait until Monday to hear back from them as they need to talk to the manager. We went to Bainfield New Castle and other locations around Seattle area many times, but this was the first time we was very unhappy with the way treating customer like they have nothing to do beside blindly burning money because of their love for the pet. Today, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, my male Beagle, Biscuit, underwent treatment for an ear and paw infection. While the vet appeared friendly, I couldn’t help but feel uneasy about her knowledge. She consistently referred to Biscuit as “she,” despite my efforts to address him as “he.” Biscuit has allergies during the summer, and the other vets at Bainfield New Castle are aware of this. They advised me to keep Biscuit’s paws clean and dry to prevent further allergies. However, this vet continued to discuss allergies related to food and suggested that I purchase the food from a specific link she provided. She also recommended using water and shampoo to soak Biscuit’s paws. During the phone call, she seemed to care about Biscuit, but her primary focus was on selling the product. She didn’t allow me to ask questions or express my concerns.A few weeks ago, Biscuit had an ear infection that responded well to the prescribed treatment. However, two days ago, when cleaning his ears, I noticed that the infection had returned. I used the same medication we had from the previous visit, but it didn’t seem to be effective. This prompted us to take Biscuit to the vet again. The vet should have checked Biscuit’s medical record before prescribing medication without consulting the pet’s owner. Today, the vet gave Biscuit the same medication we had at home without disclosing its name. My husband picked up Biscuit today for the first time and didn’t know what kind of medication he was taking. He simply paid and went home. When I noticed the medication was the same, I called to return it, but the receptionist refused, citing Bainfield’s policy. They advised me to wait until Monday to receive a response, as they needed to discuss the matter with the manager. We have been customers of Bainfield New Castle and other locations in the Seattle area for many years, but this experience was the first time we were deeply dissatisfied with the way they treated their customers. It felt like they were more interested in selling products than in providing genuine care and attention to our beloved pet.
August 16 · Jimmy NguyenWe got our frenchie when she was two months old and we have been going to the Newcastle location since day 1. The doctor that did her spay surgery was amazing. A coworker had jokingly told me “don’t take your dog out until she gets spayed because people will be less likely to try to steal her after she has the huge scar from the surgery”. The vet that did her surgery was amazing and there is no scar at all.All in all we have been very pleased with the care we have received at this clinic. We have seen 5 different doctors at this location.4 of the 5 were absolutely amazing! Nothing bad to say about any of them. But one of them…Dr with a last name starting with a P saw our pup when we took her in for something that appeared on her leg that started out looking like a little scratch. She likes to run and hide behind a sticker bush in the yard. After a week or so it appeared to get a bit raised and almost looked infected.Dr. came in the room and immediately looked at our wellness package plan to see what we had purchased and was recommending different treatments we could pay for to treat heart worm…then we pointed out what we were there for and she glanced at the area, didn’t even touch or look up closebefore turning to us and saying this looks like an MCT.I couldn’t believe my ears. My daughter left the room because she couldn’t handle the idea of her one year old emotional support animal possibly having a cancerous tumor.I work in dermatology so I was not convinced that this was the case but I work with humans not animals so I kept my mouth shut to listen to recommendations and options to rule this out.Doctor went on to say that we need to do a biopsy and due to her breed and the fact that they have a tendency for breathing issues we would need to put her under for the procedure. I was expecting a fine needle aspiration, a scraping of some sort to get some skin cells to view under the microscope. But doctor offered a biopsy estimated to cost about $1,000. I was hesitant to jump on board and wanted some time think it over and or get a second opinion. When my hesitation was sensed I was offered an ointment to apply under the condition that I agreed to bring her back for follow up/biopsy in 14 days. I purchased the ointment.I went home and out of curiosity I called and asked if they do fine needle aspirations on frenchies and was told they do and estimated to cost a couple hundred dollars.I was 99.9% certain we were seen by a very inexperienced vet or someone was trying to push procedures…I applied the ointment every twelve hours and within a few days her skin was clear. I kept my promise to follow up in 14 days but made sure i scheduled with a different doctor and it appears that my pups “skin infection” is all cleared up.
July 22 · Christina ShahwanWe have been going here for about a year now. August 22 · 앤Susy and Matt along with our veterinarian Dr Quan were extremely helpful when my pup needed time sensitive care. They took their time to help and listen and I’m forever grateful.
