- Customer Service and Compassion Issues: Reviewers noted "incredibly rude, dismissive" staff and a lack of "compassion" and "basic kindness," particularly during a distressing situation with an injured pet. There was also an instance of a staff member "forcefully dragging" an anxious dog.
- Communication Breakdown: Miscommunication regarding services performed (e.g., nails not cut despite being charged) and delays in updates were reported.
- Perceived Focus on Sales Over Care: One customer felt that staff "tried to push this and that on me" despite having a wellness plan, leading to a perception that it was "all about money for them."

Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
Was a very bad experience. My dog Milo not feeling well and I called banfield in Bellingham they told me to come at 10:45 , my dog doesn’t like to go to vet , I have the wellness plan that I pay $50 a month , the tech took me to the room I explained what he is having I need to do blood work , she tried to push this and that on me I told her why am having the plan . So ok I need my pet to be seen . She said wait and will take him . She put the leash around his neck and he doesn’t want to go with her , she started to forcefully dragging him , I told miss please don’t do that don’t drag him this way , he is afraid from vet, I didn’t get her name but she was a big size female with broken leg that day . I asked her his nails to be cut and she charged me for that . He was there for almost 5 hours and a half . I called after 3 hours , they said doctor is finishing up her final notes , they should call any time , another two hours they never called , I called back again after 5 hours , they said doctor finishing up , I told her they said that two hours ago . Then they called after 15 minutes to go pick him up , he wasn’t ready . He spent there 5.30 hours . He came home , his nails are not cut . I called the next day because they already closed for the day . I spoke with someone that his nails are not cut , she said no they are the note said it was performed, I told her no they are very long they are not touched , she said let me grab the manger , the manage spoke to me and she was very rude her name is jacquileen , she said they are cut , back and forth I’ll come and show they were not . I told her either to refund me or redo them . She said no they were cut we can’t refund or redo them she was really rude . I told her ok then you chose $25 over a client , she said no it’s not about money, I believe it’s all about money for them . I said ok then I’ll come to cancel my plan , she said rudely no need to come I I’ll give the phone number to do so . Was very rude person and bad experience. I will not go there again and don’t recommend that office .
Jan 05, 2025 · Mais MichaelI just moved to the area and needed care for my injured dog, who was clearly in pain. Despite this, the staff was incredibly rude, dismissive, and made no effort to help. They refused to even assess him and coldly told us to drive an hour away. No compassion, not even basic kindness. Stay far away if you care about your pet. I guess I didn’t realize how incredibly lucky we were at our old office because they never would have done this to any animal.
May 30, 2025 · KC T.Hunter has been at Bellingham, MA since 7/2015. He has had health issues from dive we’ve had him. His original doc left after year 3. Dr Rose has been amazing! Hunter loves seeing her- not so much on “shot day”! The docs at Banfield helped with setting us up with amazing specialists(which he no longer needs) and we’ve never had a negative experience. The staff is amazing. Hunter, age 9
Jun 26, 2024 · SuellenKate is my second dog to be taken care of by Banfield Pet Hospital. First in Florida 2007 ish and then when I moved back to Massachusetts I automatically brought Kate to Banfield because of their care and concern for animals. The staff is outstanding. They treat the animals like they could be theirs. Kate is almost 11 years old is as healthy as ever and a lot of the reason is the care she gets from Banfield . I would definitely advise you to bring your pets to Banfield. They also have great insurance for your pet.
Jul 23, 2024 · Elia FlinkfeltEveryone knows my pets by name and greets us by name each time. Jillian, Stacey, and Jacqueline especially get so excited when we come in, especially if it's a drop off because they can cuddle them ❤️❤️
