October 07 · jean mouseI have been going to Doc Wellman for almost 30 years, living in Saline he was close and wonderful with my animals, I have since moved to Livingston County on the lake and continue to take our animals to him! I have his cell number of which he answered every time, he has treated and performed surgeries on multiple animals of mine including a little girl kittie Zarah who was recused by the person who originally recommended him to me years prior with multiple injuries that she should not have survived but she did!Years later our other younger kitten punctured her eye so deep and he performed 6 treatments to her over 2 weeks sent us home with drops and antibiotic cream for the price of $160 total, called daily to see about her progress, he has spayed and neutered all of my animals and treated the love of my life Zuggu Stardust for cancer atan astronomically low price, when he decided he had had enough he sent him home with us again but this time to let him pass with his family!I cannot say enough about this man and his love and care for all animals in any situation and just as much for their persons! He is well over 90 years old and sharper than anyone I know!Life will be hard for so many animals and people when this man finally retires!Love him so very muchAnd Terry his assistant and office manager is as wonderful as he is!For 30 years I have recommended him to everyone I know near and far ❤️🙏☀️
August 23 · Jolynne HillBrought our senior dog in to get checked out. She had stopped eating and was nearing end of life and we wanted to ensure her comfort. Knowing euthanasia might be in the cards but we were NOT ready to make that call yet. However, when we brought Bonnie to Dr. Wellman, it was the most traumatic experience I’ve endured in a long time. With no communication, no warning, and I mean NONE, and after less than 5 minutes in his office, he euthanized Bonnie without hesitation, without permission and without telling my family and i until after it was done and she was gone. No verbal consent, no written consent, nothing was given to this man who just killed our dog. Extreme malpractice to say the least. Don’t know how this 100 year old man can still call himself a vet after the extreme neglect and emotional distress he put my dog and my family in. no empathy for my family and I, no compassion for our pet, no communication and was nearly abusive to our senior dog. He was so damn careless and hurt her and caused her to yelp several times in the 5 minutes we were there with no regard. (She was older but not in pain when we arrived, we never heard her yelp prior) . He is a heartless, soulless, terrible vet. If you have any amount of love for your animals, stay far away from this man who calls himself a vet with the last name Wellman.
