Burnsville Veterinary Clinic Reviews
My dog hurt his paws. He had been there one time in the past when he was sick and I liked the doctor and his assistant very much. The place is very clean for a veterinary clinic. The front staff wasnt as helpful or friendly as they could have been but they weren't rude. Just not very pleasant or attentive. But all I care about is the doctor. He explained everything in detail and so I could understand it. He could have done a ton more test and over charged me but he didn't. He was professional, well mannered and seemed to honestly care about the animals, their owners and his job. His assistant that gets your info and takes your dog back was super sweet. I was nervous and she talked calm and spoke to my dog so he wasn't afraid and took him to the back with no problem. He is a 3 year old boxer who is very protective but very sweet. I'll be taking my boy there for all of his shots and any medical needs he has. Thank you so so much!!!!
Nov 26, 2024 · Sissy McCurryTrue HEROS!! Without any question at all, this veterinary clinic is the best I’ve ever been to!! My cat Hercules was bitten by another (unknown and wild) animal and was having a lot of complications from this. He started being reclusive and not eating or drinking water. He didn’t want to cuddle which is definitely not like him at all! After 2 days of him being this way I decided to take him to the vet to get checked out. I tried to take him to multiple other clinics before I found this place. Even though it was an emergency, no one would see him because they didn’t have time in their schedule. This was not a concern here! The amazing front desk employees immediately got our info and sent him back with the Dr. I knew my cat was not doing well but I had no idea it was as bad as it was! He had a major infection from the bite, high temperature, dehydrated from not drinking water, and quite a few other issues due to being bitten. Thank god for Dr. Moody!!!! He explained in great detail everything that was wrong and gave me my options on how to address them. They put a drain tube through my kitty’s face, to help drain the infection. He gave him Cortizone shots to help him with pain, Fluids under the skin to help with his dehydration, medication and instructions on how to administer them. The doctor and his staff even took the time to check with me about his rabies shot and administered a new one for this year to make sure he was up-to-date on all shots. They even cut his nails for me so he would not hurt me while we were still in the recovery process of his treatment. There is a big difference in doing your job, and going above and beyond for patients. Dr. Moody and his staff definitely went above and beyond. They saved my kitty’s life without question!!! I even received a phone call a few days after checking on him and his progress!!!! This is a vet that genuinely cares about the animals he treats and it shows!!! This will be the only way I go to from now on!
May 07, 2025 · Elizabeth GunterThis was one of the worst vet experiences I have ever had. Once I was able to bring my baby home to our regular vet it was determined that due to lack of tests and fluids being given that was the cause of my 10 month old puppies death. I took my puppy in at 12 noon to this vet clinic. He should have been put on fluids and monitored until the end of the day. Unfortunately he wasn’t and we were rushed out and sent home. They didn’t even run half the tests we talked about running. My vet back home said that if he had been put on simple IV fluids the outcome would have been significantly better. I will NEVER come back to this place. Also it’s to put the icing on the cake when I was talking to the vet he told me to “ stop talking” after he asked me to explain my dogs symptoms. Guess it won’t change anything now bc my 10 month old puppy is dead.
Apr 14, 2025 · Jessi MaxwellHad our adored cat fixed yesterday. I was warned she may not be hungry as was on pain meds. We got home she ate and has steadily been playing with her sister as if nothing occurred.Thank you for such good care.
Feb 20, 2025 · Whalewave CreationsHorrible experience the vet was very rude and was much more interested in telling me that I have a bad dog than providing him with quality care. I made it very clear from the beginning that he had never been to a vet before and I wasn’t sure how he would act plus he doesn’t like men very much. He was what I thought was excessively rough from the beginning and didn’t fully even look at the split nail we brought him in for. I would have paid for any medication that would’ve calmed him down enough to be fully examined but was never offered anything more than a broken mussel that wouldn’t stay on. Overall it was a very horrible experience for both me and my 2 year old boxer mix and I will not be back and recommend to anyone else looking for quality care for there furry companion to look elsewhere also.
