Carolina Animal Specialty & Emergency Reviews
Highly recommend. I was skeptical coming here bc of the price and the usual nature of emergency vets. It was a last resort when we couldn't see my regular vet for an entire week, and it was very close to home. My dog was diagnosed with renal failure, but she got to come home for a few days with medication. I was planning on taking her to our vet when the time came, but before the day of the appointment she took a turn. The price for euthanasia and cremation was around $350, includes an urn that you choose and paw print. From start to finish, everyone was so kind and empathetic. You have to keep in mind that they have a highly stressful job, and they are constantly surrounded by people/pets that are in pain. I can imagine it's not easy to stay positive and treat people with respect no matter what, yet in my experience, they did just that. They didn't rush me and they tried their best to guide me through this difficult process, while still being up front about the situation. I hope not, but if I ever find myself needing another er vet, definitely coming here. I appreciate ya'll so much! They accept Care Credit btw.
Mar 05, 2025 · Soo MarquezWell I just must say since May 18,2025…Naula has been seen almost everyday other day…I have interacted with almost every staff member and I have yet to find one who is is not courteous, caring or empathetic. Naula broke her leg on May 18 and be in a puppy eight weeks old. She was very active meaning she had to have several bandage change the surgical staff, Dr. Hendron, as well as all of the staff. They were nothing but caring and compassionate to me and Naula and my family. I cannot tell you what this means for me as a pet parent. Naula‘s well-being and my stress was the staff main objective and making sure she was comfortable and letting me know that she was taking care of whether she was with me or with the staff that means a lot. I have nothing but positive things to say if I could give them a 10, I would! Outstanding Staff outstanding doctors and I would highly recommend this practice to anyone. They’re worth the wait, if it is a busy day do not leave your pet will get the best care here when an emergency or follow up is the priority.
Jun 17, 2025 · Tammi JacobsI came to get Samantha’s ashes and urn on December 26, 2024. It took forever to get her back. I just wanted her home for Christmas but it didn’t work out that way. The man comes on Tuesday and Thursday. Christmas was Wednesday and they said when I called I probably wouldn’t get her back on Christmas Eve. 🥲This was upsetting to me especially because they told me when I left her it would only be between 7-10 days. I left her on the 13th. Also, you are given a certificate of cremation not a death certificate. The date was days after I left her. What did they do with her all that time? Was she warm? Cold? Comfortable? I left her blanket with her. Understanding I might not get it back. Which I didn’t. But, they would try their best. I hope they are using it on a dog that needs it. Because when I asked for it the person didn’t look very hard. She was only gone for about 30 seconds maximum! I think my dog and I deserved more respect. I wasn’t happy but what do u do? The person at the desk started taking the next person’s $2000.00+ dollars. They had already taken enough of mine over the last few months. Samantha had many follow up appointments with her heart doctor there before they released her scheduled for March 2025. So I had already paid my many thousands. I guess she thought I just needed to take my little urn and get out of her door. Without checking the contents of my bag. What if it was the wrong animal? How can you tell? But, like I said I was just a pain to this person now because I wasn’t spending any more money. The person who came in after me to pay only. Her dog was in the back. No one was in line. She didn’t want to answer my questions anymore she just wanted me gone. If there had been any animal or person in line that needed them I would have sat patiently and let them go around me. But, why did I get treated like this when she was just paying money? And I had already paid mine? But, I did discover they had much better prices for their cremation services than in Charlotte. And their urn’s are also more reasonably priced. I picked the dark brown wooden one and it has a sliding plate on the bottom. And it came with a paw print. But, I forgot to get any hair. 😔 And I think it was only around $200.00. For the urn, nice name plate, cremation, and paw print. My last cat cost me twice that amount in Charlotte. For just the urn, name plate and cremation. Most of the employees here are 100% awesome. But you always have one or two that ruin it for everyone.
Dec 31, 2024 · Glyn OwenCarolina Animal Specialty and Emergency has been amazing for our family. They helped us in two significant events. The first one was back in February when my 16-year-old cat became incredibly sick on a Saturday and they rushed her in to be seen. They investigated her symptoms and geve me good advice. They kept her loved and comfortable as we made the difficult choice to euthanize. They were so kind and patient with us and with her. Recently our dog escaped our yard and was brought to CASE by a Good Samaritan. We called to see if he had been brought in and they helped coordinate us getting him back home. I cannot say enough nice things about CASE and their staff. Highly, highly recommend!!
Jun 30, 2025 · Jessica StameyWe went to this office for an emergency for my cat. He had a stroke and was in a lot of pain. We ended up having to put him down. The staff was incredibly caring, they gave us as much time as needed to say goodbye and was very empathic and sympathetic. For an emergency visit the price was reasonable. I appreciate everything they did for my fur baby and me. They helped me through a tough decision. I could tell that everyone that works there truly cares about animals and their owners.
