Colorado Exotic Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners in Colorado, having a beloved companion is a source of immense joy. While dogs and cats often come to mind first, an increasing number of households in our state are home to unique and fascinating exotic animals, from colorful parrots and scaly reptiles to furry small mammals. These special pets have distinct needs that require highly specialized veterinary care. Colorado Exotic Animal Hospital, located in Denver, CO, is a premier destination for just such expertise, providing dedicated and compassionate treatment for a wide array of non-traditional pets. This article will explore what makes this hospital an invaluable resource for exotic pet owners across Colorado.
Colorado Exotic Animal Hospital stands out due to its singular focus on exotic animals. Unlike general practices that primarily see dogs and cats, this hospital dedicates its resources, equipment, and staff training specifically to the unique physiology and behavioral patterns of exotic species. This specialization ensures that your unique pet receives the most informed and appropriate care possible. Their team understands that exotic pets often mask signs of illness, making expert knowledge crucial for early diagnosis and effective treatment.
The feedback from real clients powerfully underscores the exceptional quality of care provided here. One client shared a heartwarming story about their chicken, Agatha, who benefited immensely from the care of Dr. Fitzgerald and her team for a broken leg. The client noted the "superb" nature of the collaboration, the helpful advice, and the successful mending without surgery, delightfully evidenced by Agatha's improved egg production! This testimonial not only highlights the medical success but also the deep appreciation for the kindness and genuine desire to do what's best for the pet. The staff's knowledge and care for a chicken, often considered unconventional, were particularly appreciated.
Another glowing review came from a worried owner whose bearded dragon experienced two seizures on a Sunday afternoon. Despite the urgency and stress of the situation, the client praised the hospital's swift response, kindness, caring attitude, urgency, compassion, and knowledge. They were able to stabilize the dragon, formulate a full treatment plan, provide a quote, and dispense necessary medications. Even though the location was "a little far," the client declared it "1000% worth the trip," affirming it as their "top choice by far" among exotic vets. These stories paint a vivid picture of a team that is not only highly skilled but also deeply empathetic and dedicated to their specialized patients.
Colorado Exotic Animal Hospital is conveniently situated at 7120 E Hampden Ave #101, Denver, CO 80224, USA. East Hampden Avenue is a major arterial road, providing straightforward routes from various neighborhoods and surrounding cities such as Aurora, Centennial, Englewood, and Littleton.
The hospital's placement within Denver means that pet owners can typically reach the facility without extensive travel, which is especially important for exotic pets who can be more susceptible to stress during transportation. While a client did mention the location being "a little far," this speaks more to the specialized nature of the clinic—often, for such specific care, a slightly longer drive is expected and deemed worthwhile by owners seeking the very best. May 20, 2025 · Nicole CimburaAMAZING exotic vet. My bearded dragon had 2 seizures on a Sunday afternoon, I called and rushed to this vet and they were so kind and caring. They stabilized my dragon, determined a full treatment plan, quote, meds and all the things you would expect. Their care, attitude, urgency, compassion, and knowledge was all amazing. The location is a little far for me, but 1000% worth the trip. I have been to a couple of other exotic vets over the years but this is my top choice by far. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
