When it comes to your pet's health, choosing the right specialty group can make all the difference. The Colorado Veterinary Specialty Group stands out as a leading choice for pet owners in the Colorado region for several key reasons. Our reputation is built on a foundation of expert medical knowledge, genuine compassion, and a commitment to communication and transparency. The real-world experiences of our clients underscore the heart and soul that we put into our work. We’re incredibly thankful for the amazing team at CVSG. Our pup Apollo recently had to have a cystotomy, and from the moment we walked through the door, we felt supported and cared for. Dr. Beth Lewis did an incredible job and treated our boy with such compassion. You can tell she and the whole staff truly love what they do.
This wasn’t our first time going through this either. Years ago, they cared for our late pup Budah when he had the same issue. It meant a lot to be back in a place that not only gave us comfort before but showed us once again just how much heart they put into everything they do. Apollo has been in great spirits since coming home and we’re already seeing signs of a smooth recovery. We’re so grateful to Dr. Lewis and everyone at CVSG for taking such good care of both our boys. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts.
Another client noted how well informed they were kept of all their options and were even allowed to visit their pet during his stay. The fact that, when he didn’t improve when at home and had to be brought back in 8 hours after, they didn’t charge a second exam fee when he got admitted was a godsend. The updates that I got and being able to offer him food and help him relax during his stay was amazing. Being able to collaborate with his doctors to get him home, comfortable, and in a healthy state was beneficial to his care. These testimonials highlight our core values: providing top-tier medical care while prioritizing the emotional well-being of both pets and their families. At Colorado Veterinary Specialty Group, we are more than just a medical facility; we are a partner in your pet’s health and a source of comfort when you need it most.

June 05 · Leia GildingWhile our visit was unplanned and ultimately very sad, the experience here from beginning to end was as helpful, professional, and compassionate as could be. Every member of staff we had any interaction with the entire time we were there was considerate and kind. I'm very glad this was the closest urgent care clinic to our home when we needed one. Thank you for every moment of care given to our beloved Magill. ❤️🩹
July 21 · Michele EdmondsonHere's a cleaned-up version of your review:---I’ve been to this vet hospital twice, and while my first visit was great—both the staff and doctor were fantastic—I can't say the same for the second visit. It was a Sunday evening, and there was only one other family there. Our dog was older, but he hadn’t had any health issues until recently. He seemed unable to get comfortable, and his back legs were starting to give out. We took him to the ER to get an immediate assessment.Instead of giving us a thorough evaluation, the vet quickly looked him over, said he had good neurological signs, and suggested he might have Cushing's disease (which he did not have). We knew our time with him was limited, but it was devastating to be told he was fine and to follow up with our regular vet. That advice left us and our dog in a lot of unnecessary pain.If they had done a better job and helped us understand the situation, we might have been able to say goodbye sooner and avoid the agonizing seizures that led to his final moments. We were prepared to make the hard decision, but instead, we ended up paying $200 for a quick 5-minute evaluation and a vague diagnosis. Nobody wants to say goodbye to their beloved pets, but we also don’t want them to suffer. I just wish this ER vet had been more compassionate and thorough.
August 23 · Lisa VantineIt’s so refreshing to know that there is an emergency vet out there that doesn’t shove a payment pad in your face the second you walk in the door before they will even acknowledge your pet. CVSG is kind, friendly, the nurses and vets took the time to listen to what my pup was experiencing to obtain the right diagnosis. No ego, no “I’ve seen it all” attitude, no fervor to financially bleed me dry. And their facilities are too notch. Yes emergency vet’s are costly, but given the circumstances they have been quite reasonable. ❤️
