Animal Hospital of Tiffin LLC Reviews
I would not recommend! My parents took their cat here after he was injured. They were extremely insensitive suggesting amputation, or putting the cat down for a broken leg. My parents are friends with vets in other parts of the state who questioned extra charges on their quote. So they got a second opinion and the cat’s leg is not even broken. It has a very bad laceration with no infection but will need watched, which is bad but it’s not broken. They were willing to suggest putting down a pet, or REMOVING HIS LEG.Update: Thank you for your time to respond, it’s very appreciated. My whole family has used this vet clinic since 2006 or 2007 when the vet team at that time saved my dog’s life and had been loyal to this clinic some of us driving an hour to continue (routine) pet care here. I was pleased that AFTER my review they did reach back out to my mother to better explain some of their concerns. They still did not address the extra charges that others saw and what had prompted the suggestion of second opinions. There is still a chance that amputation is a possible outcome which is fine if it is in fact needed, because it is a very bad wound, but the new vet did NOT suggest euthanasia, or amputation at this time. So if this wasn’t some kind of price gouging, it could be a misunderstanding I still would not be able to recommend based on amount of difference in diagnosis between this vet and the second opinion. Also the idea that if someone won’t be able to afford an orthopedic specialist that then their pet options are to be euthanized or amputated immediately is important as I know while many people love their pets a lot of people live on limited income and should know what they are getting into while a different area vet came to such a different conclusion.Last Update:The cat healed fine and is back to his old self. I came here to also update that after my mom left this vet she found that her dog was misdiagnosed as having diabetic neuropathy and it was actually cancer. So again while I don’t know the complexities of vet care I wouldn’t feel safe recommending them.
Jan 02, 2025 · Nikole ReedAlways a great visit. Friendly and helpful staff. Thanks Emily! Doctor takes her time talking to you about your pet and gives helpful suggestions. They really care about your pet's health. Not a long wait and they space the appointments out so there are not a lot of animals in the waiting room at the same time. We have used them to board our dog and they took very good care of him. We couldn't ask for a better place to take our furry family member.
Feb 24, 2025 · Cherie HulseCheck your receipts. They quoted me one price and I caught them sneaking other fees in. They will quote you one price and the fees they charge ya is higher when checking out. Found a cheaper and much better vet doctor as well. There were more extra charges than the approved. And when I called to discuss initially, she was quick to get off the phone. I approved the ear cleaning for the ear mites for 35 bucks. I didn't want the ear medication and asked for alternatives because medicated drops made my last service dog deaf. So I was scared of that, yes. But the printed out receipt has a several misc fees included, that I called and questioned. I have a different vet every time I come in. But if you care to discuss, please feel free to call!
Apr 28, 2025 · Juĺie ScottI have been with this animal hospital for a lot of years. They have always done an excellent job with my dogs my horses and my cats. I would highly recommend them to others for the treatment of their pets.I am treated very well by the new veterinary and have always been treated well by the staff. I would love to see their request for updated dental equipment taken seriously. The right group is there. They need to be listened to. I would still recommend this practice to others. They listen to their pet owners and treat us very well.
