★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Over the years, I’ve taken many cats and dogs to Banfield. After having experiences at other veterinary offices, I continue to trust Banfield and like their staff and services so much better. The Optimum Wellness Plans are totally worth signing up for because they include so much towards keeping your beloved pets healthy. They are always upfront and reasonable about the prices of each thing and don’t make you feel weird about declining anything. The staff is so nice and friendly, I feel totally at ease and trust them with my furbabies - which says a lot, because I’ve had some awful/traumatic experiences at other places…Experiences that made me hesitant to take them in for necessary care. I’ve NEVER had a bad experience at any Banfield. They are thorough, compassionate and understanding. It’s clear that the doctors and technicians know what they’re doing and they are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and informative. Dr. Opitz is the most recent doctor my very special dog saw and her treatments/recommendations were excellent. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
May 07 · Sabrina MedinaI’ve had a plan with Banfield for each of my animals since 2013 and it’s easily one of the best healthcare decisions I made for my pets. It saves so much money and it’s so great to have the peace of mind that I can go into the vet and know it’s not going to eat us out of house and home.I’ve personally been with numerous different Banfield locations over the years, as I’ve moved between different areas of CO and FL. And I will say that the Littleton South Banfield has been THE BEST one we’ve had. The front desk staff is so attentive and kind. The vet techs and every vet we’ve seen there has been so empathetic and heartfelt in every interaction we’ve had with them - and when they were unable to help my dog with his abscess he developed, they helped guide me to the best facilities in the area that COULD give him the care and surgery he needed. And every time we go to a different Banfield location (which is only ever due to appointment availability at this point) - we just are not as impressed. We will go out of our way and drive the extra 20 min to get to this location any day of the week. Cannot give enough praise to this location and its staff. Y’all are doing things RIGHT ♥️The only area of complaint I have with Banfield really lies with the communication within the system for the wellness plan itself. Which is managed separately from the vet office location. The system seems to have a lot of limitations that I think a more updated system could help fix. We’ve had issues in the past with having specific credit cards being incorrectly charged for the wrong pet; records being unable to be transferred to a new account; and it taking multiple attempts to get certain people taken off of the account. I shared a plan with my mom as a fresh 18-yr old and continued to share the plan with her largely because they said they couldn’t transfer my cats records over if I made my own account. And I knew how big of a difference having those records made in my cat getting the proper veterinary care based on his more complicated medical history. It also took a long time to get my ex off of the account after we split and we weren’t able to split his dog off of the plan in the middle of year before renewal - so we had to continue to share the account for a while and then after his dogs plan expired, it took an addition 6-12 months I think to get him removed from the account. So just make sure you are sure you want that person on there for a long time. 😂As soon as my cat passed away though, my husband and I made a new account for our dog. And they were at least able to make a note about some records being in my mom’s account for him. Ultimately every issue I’ve ever had with Banfield has been related to the corporate management and the computer system that runs the wellness plans. But even the issues I have had with that are worth putting up with to get the discounts and quality care it comes with. My biggest suggestion to the corporate side of the wellness plans is maybe it’s time to upgrade the system (LOL).But again - CANNOT give ENOUGH praise to Littleton S Banfield. They’re wonderful!!
August 11 · Kiera WarneckeMy complaint is with the total unacceptable way my pet Bella and I were treated when I called Banfield on November 6, 2024 at 8222 S. University Blvd, Littleton, CO.Bella was dying of kidney failure, she was in pain, and could not walk.We had been up all night with Bella, waiting for Banfield to open so we could call and get her in. Then we were told only one vet was working, and that I could leave her at the back door and return later, or bring her back in the late afternoon.I tried to explain that this is my companion! I could not just leave her at a back door to die. I had to be with her at her time of passing. I tried several times to get her in at no avail.I finally gave up and took her to a 24-hour clinic, which was an elevated cost for the procedure because we did not have insurance with them. Here we have been customers of Banfield for over 24 years and have paid for Wellness Plans all these years, 12 years with Bella, only to find out that when she was at the end of life, she was not honored by the ones she put trust in to be there for her, in an environment that she was comfortable with.I believe there is a statement in your Wellness plan about Vets being there for your pet at the end of life, this should be removed because it obviously is false advertising! I have never heard of a Vet Service that flat refused not to take time to euthanize an animal that was dying. To conclude, there is no way I can tell you how to run your business, but there is no compensation for the way we were treated on that day. The almighty dollar wins whenever it comes to ethics!
March 17 · Floyd WatsonMy pet was having an emergency and they were able to help her and set up a treatment plan. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. Needless to say, I was loosing mind with worry and they were able to care for my pet and give me the information I needed to understand and continue to care for her at home.Update: My dog refused to get out of the car and would cry loudly whenever she was brought here. She was petrified and is terrified of any banfield now.
