Unionville Equine Associates PC Reviews
I could not be more pleased with my pre-purchase exam. Dr. Adams and her vet tech, Mary, were punctual, professional, and thorough. It was quite a pleasant experience and I feel very confident in the outcome of the exam (He passed!!!). The office staff goes above-and-beyond to assist. This is my second pre-purchase with them and I wouldn't think twice about using them again.
Dec 26, 2024 · Joni ValerioI contacted UEA on a Thursday, needing a Pre-Purchase Exam by the next day (due to various circumstances, I need to get my new mare moved to my farm, by that following Sunday). Emily and Dr. Minnella worked incredibly hard to accommodate me and were able to come out by the MORNING of the next day. After the PPE, we found that my new mare needed a Coggins...before SUNDAY! The exam was able to be expedited and results in by Saturday. Emily was incredibly responsive and helpful...you would have thought it was her horse that we were working to move. This has been my first dealing with UEA, but likely will not be my last. BIG thanks to Emily and Dr. Minnella.
Jun 23, 2025 · Kirsten BriggsMy horse was seen by Dr. Foster in November for a lameness evaluation at UEA. She was kind, direct and efficient in her ability to evaluate and diagnose my horse's issue. She presented all of the options for care and helped me feel confident in my decision for his treatment. Their facility is beautiful, clean and state of the art. My horse felt very comfortable and relaxed in the hands of their skilled Assistants and Technicians. I also appreciated being involved in his appointment start to finish even during COVID times. Everyone I've ever spoken with at UEA has been kind and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Foster and UEA for your equine veterinary needs.
Jan 22, 2021 · Lara BaylesHad a pleasing appointment with Dr. Foster last July. She found a stife abnormality on my gelding. I told her I would put him on a rebuilding supplement and she told me that if I brought him back to have images done again she wouldn't have to reexamine him it would just be the cost of the images. Fast forward to this July I go to make the appointment and she reneged on what she told us. Her assistant sent over an estimate of costs and they wanted nearly $900! When I reminded them of what I was told they gave me a song and dance about her time in analyzing the x-ray. ( about 2 minutes last time and she wasn't sure about what she saw so she had a surgeon check it. ) My local vet can do it for approximately $200 but I would have liked to have consistency with one doctor. I don't appreciate when people in business don't stand by their word and are only out for a money grab. Patients beware!
Jun 14, 2024 · Vicki WojtowiczI’ve been managing farms for 20 years and have worked with many vet practices. Everyone at Unionville is awesome! They respond quickly in emergencies and fit you in in decent time for regular check ups. Love that they have numerous vets to round table discussions on complicated cases (of which we have had a few) and are humble enough to say this would be better handled by NBC with 24 hour care. I trust all the vets in their practice 100%!
