Dr. Donald K. Allen Veterinarian, Inc. Reviews
Dr. Allen and the staff are the best. I have a 17 year old Pomeranian. I haven't been there in over 8 years because she has been in great health. Today, I had what I thought was an emergency, and the wonderful girl that answered the phone was able to squeeze me in. Dr. Allen took care of my girl and she is already doing 100% better. I love how he explains everything and the vet tech listened to all my concerns with the utmost sincerity. You guys are a blessing. I would recommend him to anybody, he really is a top vet and a wonderful person. Thanks so much. Storm says thank you too!!
Oct 24, 2023 · Mr RosaAbsolutely terrible. They are connected with West Side Cats where I got my two cats. He put my cat through so much. She almost died because she was spayed but the area wasn’t protected. So the stitches came out and she licked it and irritated it. She got a terrible infection and he never said sorry no nothing. Just gave her a steroid shot that did nothing. DO NOT GO!
Mar 18, 2025 · Sophia MullenNot very impressed and not really excited about my (2) visits I had with them... I feel that I was very misled about the services that both could and would be provided to me as well as explained to me concerning my pet needs.Long story - I took in a street -stray kitty about 6 months ago. She is amazing - yet was pretty beat up and needed quite a bit of tlc... I've had her checked for everything, vaccinated as well as brought her back to the best health she most likely ever had.She has some severe dental issues, as I witnessed over a very short time.. I called a few vets and decided on this one. I made an appointment, earliest that I could find and felt good about my pick. I spoke with the staff and they assured me that they had Full Dental Services, everything you could ask for and more...I had tons of questions and they were all answered with a thumbs up... had the initial consultation and kinda wasn't real into the environment, just seemed that everything was in haste and the examination rooms were not up to my standards. I am accustomed to a small private room per pet, not a small room divided in sections where everyone is bumping into one another and the animals are going crazy because of non division... Anyway this guy comes in, pleasant enough yet only spent less than 4 minutes with my kitty and I... he sends in a girl and she explains what he didn't have time too explain apparently, but it's good, I get it - kinda... so on and on...Again, I was told they had the best full dental care of everyone in the area... and since the assistant told me there were several issues that most likely lead to a few extractions and such. I set up a day and bring her in. They put her under and brushed her teeth clean. I was happy to hear that she had no major damage at this time, but a few signs showed that she will in the future. I inquired further. I was told that they proudly supported full dental care, yet the girl, (not the Dr) but the assistant who worked on her said, she's good... Hopefully she won't have further issues. I asked what that cleaning did and was told it's just like when we get our teeth cleaned, so I asked what about her bleeding gums and smelly breath and her loose teeth, and she said, well if I have more issues I'll need to take her to a doctor that can do an x-rays and extractions and such... I was like, what the #$@%$&*^%... I was told you had all of that covered... NOPE... now after a few days, the issue remains and presented itself once again and upon leaving I was told good luck, thumbs up.. I am 780.00 dollars in with this place without positive results, or none what so ever... I am going to call the BBB about all of this nonsense...all around, just a very bad taste left...
Feb 21, 2025 · Michael KopsicTo me, the staff had always been friendly and very helpful. Dr. Allen can sometimes seemed rushed, but he always gets the problem addressed. He loves rescue animals, and his prices are the best you're going find. He's been very good with my two kitties, and I really have no complaints.
