Eye Care for Animals - Far West Blvd Austin Reviews
We love Dr. Walsh + team at Eye Care for Animals Far West! Our sweet Akela developed pannus and Dr. Walsh knew exactly what she needed. She’s doing so well with her daily eye drops and we graduated to annual check ups. We can’t thank you enough!
Jul 03, 2025 · Heather HallingstadThis is our cute little dumdum called Janet. She booped a ball over the fence and got a stick in the eye trying to keep a watch on it.That eye got all weird and goopy and even tho Janet just cared about getting her ball back and not so much about an infection we went to see the lovely and most capable Dr. Walsh who treated us like fam.Tbh I don’t think Janet has ever felt so at easy in an office or professional environment let alone a vet. Lauren, the vet tech, was an immediate warmth and tonic to Janet’s nerves. Her and Dr. Walsh knew what the Queen of Soul meant by TCB.In the words of the prophet Bueller, this practice is, “So choice.” Why go anywhere else? Thanks y’all!
Mar 13, 2025 · Justin GodfreyAfter a delayed referral and a late diagnosis of cataracts from my vet's office, I was eager to finally get an evaluation for my toy poodle who has been struggling to see to eat and ambulate. I wanted my 2nd pet to get checked to avoid similar issues but had not yet received confirmation of her appt. About ten minutes prior to this appt, I received a call asking where I was. I told them I was about 5 min away and they responded that I had missed an earlier appt. Even though I let them know I only received notification for one appt and had driven 30 min to get there in time for the appt I was aware of, they refused to see me or my pet insisting that they had scheduled two dogs. I reviewed the messages I had received with them and the issues with the referrals and though they acknowledged an issue with their portal, they refused to see us, despite me being in time for the known appt. I was upset because I had been waiting so long and was stressed by the suffering of my pet.Initially, they declined to assist but after I insisted on speaking to someone and expressed my strong concern for my pet's state and their system failure, they agreed to work me in the following week, as the next appt was over a month away. I informed them that I would be returning from an unexpected funeral but would do so for my pet to be evaluated. During my 3 hour drive back, I hit traffic and was running late by less than 10 min. Even though the appt was scheduled for an hour and the grace period is 15 min, they again refused to see me. I spoke to them in person and there was no empathy shown for me or my pups. On top of that, they charged me around $200 for a "cancellation fee".I would not trust this clinic for compassionate and trustworthy care based on the poor interaction I have had with them on more than one occasion.
Jan 22, 2025 · Kris MDr Walsh and staff are outstanding! They truly care about their pet patients and are attentive, gentle and thorough. Bogie actually likes going there and gets excited when we arrive.
Jul 21, 2025 · Brenda VallanceCan’t say enough positive things about the team here. They’ve been so helpful and you can tell they really care about our pup and me. They answer any questions we have and put us at ease, always letting us know what’s going on with our pup and what to expect. So happy that we found them and feel great knowing our pup is well cared for for with this team.
