May 16, 2025 · Yazmin S.This is a fantastic veterinary office. I’ve been bringing my dog here for about four years, and the staff have consistently been friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. From annual exams and dental cleanings to support with illnesses, questions, and referrals, they’ve handled everything with professionalism and compassion. They’re always responsive and go above and beyond to provide quality care. I highly recommend this clinic!
Jun 03, 2025 · Laura LizSuper nice and friendly. Only downside is they just said my cat was “cute” and not “the cutest”, but I’ll let it slide. Added a picture of my cat, so everyone will know she is indeed the cutest.Super helpful and knowledgeable.
Feb 04, 2025 · AnthonyTLDR: At the end of it all after deciding not to return I was charged for care club renewal without my consent for both cat and dog. I was refunded, and then charged again since they still haven't removed me from care club.I have been using VCA since I lived in Oregon, for almost 2 decades, and VCA has always been sooo amazing and have ALWAYS gone above and beyond!I have had recent interactions at this location that have caused me to question if they have gotten too corporate or if it is just this location.I had an argument with only ONE of the staff about an extra-small CLOTH muzzle they tried to put on my 25-lb dog. I could barely fit two fingers inside it, and I have small hands. They said that it is a problem that he doesn't want to put it on. I said that makes sense since it is so small, and he probably can't breathe. I asked why they needed the muzzle. He is usually really good unless you're trying to cut his nails.Side Note: My dog doesn't like his feet being touched, but if there is peanut butter, he's fine. My nail trimmer sometimes uses a CAGE muzzle to get through the trimming quickly so he doesn't nip, which is understandable. They answered that using a muzzle is standard practice. Since he has been going there for years, I figured they have always used a muzzle, and I have never gotten this reported back to me. I asked why not use a different one that actually fits his mouth. She said there is not one. I said, well if you give him peanut better he will be fine and I can go back there so he bites me and not you. (He has never bitten anyone ever, even when it comes to touching his feet, he just doesn't like it.) They argued with me and then finally let me be in the room. THE staff who argued with me was not in the room. Two other staff members who I have worked with before and are amazing gave him cheese wiz and took his blood (all they had to do), and he didn't even notice, and I didn't have to do anything, I just stood there and watched him lick the wiz from the wall.I honestly don't know what was up with the other staff member. I do think that maybe the department needs animal behavior training. (If a dog cannot open its mouth to take deep breaths if stressed, that is basically mild suffocation and is terrifying for them.) I.e., that too-small cloth muzzle was torture.
May 20, 2025 · monique munroI brought my cat here since I first adopted her as a senior. I chose this vet because it was so close, and even after moving I stuck with them. Went here for 7 years. Always courteous, always so sweet to my cat despite her intense and comical distrust.Very knowledgeable and helpful, especially with a very particular senior cat. She was polydactyl, and for years I brought her here for nail trims in addition to check ups.It was sometimes hard to talk about my cat's issues with weight and eating as a fat woman, but the vets were always compassionate and practical while putting her health first. I never felt blamed or criticized, but rather like we were all working together to make her life the best possible.Vet services aren't cheap, but they were always happy to answer my questions about costs and work with me when they could. They also have a habit of following up after appointments, which actually helped a few times. And while it isn't necessary, the familiarity they developed with my cat over the years meant a lot.Recently I had to put her down here. It was horrible, but the VCA team did their best to help me. I was even given a wonderful pay print imprint.I trusted VCA Northwest with the wellbeing of the most important person in my life for seven years, and they did not let me down.My sincere thanks to the team for all they do.
