★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The surgery team at Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center were so caring and compassionate from the consultation, day of surgery and all the checkups following surgery. They made the process feel less stressful. Dr. Vasanjee and the vet techs are amazing. Every time the vet techs took my pug, Charlie back to get his bloodwork they were so caring to him. I wish I got all their names for this review. Dr. Vasanjee was so kind and thorough about explaining everything in a way I could understand the process from the treatment plan, the surgery and all the weekly checkups. I also really appreciated how they called me after the surgery and kept me posted daily on how Charlie was doing for the days he stayed there overnight. I highly recommend Dr. Vasanjee.Martha at the front desk was always so nice and caring during Charlie’s weekly visits. She took the time to figure out the best day and time for his appts where I wouldn’t have to miss any work. I love that she always said hi to Charlie. That means a lot.
June 26 · CelesteI had to take Chewy back for a severe allergic reaction he had over the weekend. Hives and welts all over his backside, legs and face. The team at Heart of Texas was awesome from the moment I walked in. Dr. Chamberlin, and Crystal were awesome and the lady at the desk was super nice and helpful. I will keep going back to Heart of Texas because of the professional care and the staff. Thank you for taking good care of my boy! A+++++
August 20 · Leo VasquezThis is the first review I have ever made, but this place deserves it. I wanted to extend my extreme gratefulness and thank all staff involved for JJ’s surgery and stay in this past week. They were extremely communicative, straightforward, professional, and seemed to genuinely care about the pets coming in. My sweet JJ had a hole in his head, and a frontal nasal fracture, thank everything it didn’t get to his brain, but I want to specifically shout out Dr. Nyquist — she was INCREDIBLE.Dr. Nyquist performed JJ’s surgery and (along with teamwork) saved JJ’s life. He is currently 3-4 days post op and is doing well so far. Dr. Nyquist was genuinely caring, very willing and happy to answer all and any questions or concerns, and was careful and gentle with my baby. She impressed me with her down to earth, calming, professional, yet honest way of delivering updates & made it obvious that she didn’t only care for my boy, but myself as well. HIGHLY recommend this place AND Dr. Nyquist. Thank you all so much 💙EDIT JUNE 26: I can’t leave a second review so I am adding in more thoughts in this one. Leslie at the front desk answered my email in less than an hour and promptly called me, gave advice, and even briefly spoke to JJ’s surgeon for more answers. Leslie was extremely kind and professional and was another great example of how awesome this place is. Thank you Leslie ! You’re awesome 🙂
June 26 · Danielle RendonDespite the outcome of my dog, the staff here seriously helped us in every way they could down to allowing us to say good bye to our boy pain free. May 07 · Brittney ChristianEveryone at the Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center is top notch. I had to put my dog Brandy down yesterday after having her 11 years and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Heart of Texas staff explained everything to me step by step. I was amazed at their level of compassion and professionalism. Brandy brought so much joy into my life and she deserved the best and she got it. I heard about Heart of Texas years ago from a coworker and he told me they are great and reasonably priced so no there was no doubt in my mind that was the place I needed to take her. Thanks to the entire staff at Heart of Texas I told everyone I know about the great experience I had there. Love and Peace.
