★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our local animal doctor, great service, friendly faces, professional and efficient, always a pleasure to visit a small veterinary establishment like Takoma Park Animal Clinic, been going for years, rather than a big corporate organization where you are just another number. They know our pet so well and she loves to visit now.
April 20 · Joanne FlemingI found my experience disturbing. I spent around $500, yet my cat got no relief for the condition I brought him in for. He continues to suffer from it. Some of that cost went toward flea medicine, which was useful, but the rest felt like a money grab. What disturbed me most was the apparent lack of empathy. The veterinarian seemed more focused on maximizing profit than on my cat's well-being—something I've never encountered with a vet before, and which I found chilling.I felt pressured into paying for a vaccine I didn't want. The staff told me they were "required by law" to vaccinate him, though he had already been vaccinated, and if I did not agree they would not see him. I felt trapped, knowing I would likely forfeit the office fee if I walked away. There are clinics that vaccinate for free, so that felt like a scam.EDIT: Almost forgot to mention, they would NOT allow me to accompany my cat into the exam room. NEVER agree to that condition with ANY provider!
March 05 · Thay RayThe best Veterinarian in the world, Dr.Curry and a great office manager and kind, courteous and professional vet assistants. My Bernadette is hopping around like a rabbit because of the excellent service she received. Thank you all so very much from the bottom of my heart 😊❤😊
July 29 · Missd JohnsonMy dog was diagnosed in October with heartworms. He was seen at Takoma Park Animal Clinic by one of their vets. She prescribed a round of steroids for a month, then to wait a month, then for him to do a heartworm treatment under observation in their office. I filled the $500 prescription at CVS and did as requested. In mid-November we went in for another issue and I asked about scheduling his December treatment and the receptionist said she would get back to me. They never did. I followed up and made an appointment for treatment for in December. I went to our appointment and was told that their only doctor at the practice who treats heartworms, Dr. Malachi, wasn't in that day and they would follow up with me. They never called me back. I called back in January. The receptionist informed me that Dr. Malachi didn't work at that practice anymore. They said that another doctor would call me back to help me figure out next steps. No one ever called me. I'm now finding another practice to treat my dog.
February 03 · Shana FulcherThe vet and the staff were all very kind. My fur baby was well cared for and has been feeling much better. Additionally they respected my decisions as his mommy.
