What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a pet care provider is a critical decision, and Old Peachtree Animal Clinic offers a number of compelling reasons why it should be at the top of a pet owner's list in Georgia. The most significant reason is the clinic's ability to provide a complete and holistic approach to pet health. They are not just a vet clinic; they are a partner in your pet's life, from routine check-ups and vaccinations to complex surgeries and end-of-life care. The on-site pet store and boarding facilities are a major convenience, streamlining the lives of busy pet owners. Instead of having to visit multiple locations for different needs, you can trust a single team that is familiar with your pet's medical history and personality. This continuity of care is invaluable and contributes to better long-term health outcomes for your animal companion.
The glowing customer testimonials further solidify the clinic's appeal. One client, whose dog required emergency treatment after an attack, praised the clinic's ability to act quickly and with "genuine care," even when other clinics had turned them away. The doctor, in this case, Dr. Green, was able to provide "several options depending upon how aggressive or conservative" the client wanted to be with treatment. This transparent and collaborative approach to medical care is highly valued by pet owners. Another review highlights the compassionate and gentle care provided to a "tiny" new puppy, with the doctor taking the time to explain "everything I needed to know." This demonstrates their expertise and their ability to tailor their approach to animals of all ages and sizes, making them a comforting presence for new and experienced pet owners alike.
Finally, the fact that Old Peachtree Animal Clinic is a Black-owned and women-owned business is a wonderful feature that supports local diversity. This kind of community-minded business, combined with a demonstrated commitment to exceptional and compassionate care, makes it a truly special place. For anyone in Duluth looking for a comprehensive, kind, and expert team to handle all of their pet's needs, Old Peachtree Animal Clinic is an excellent and highly recommended choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Rei had her first vet appointment a week ago! Everyone was so kind and gentle with her, and the doctor took the time to go over everything I needed to know about caring for her since she’s still so tiny. We had such a pleasant and comforting experience — feeling very grateful! 🐾✨💕
April 30 · Amanda HowleyDr. Green was great at putting me at ease when I brought my dog in for emergency treatment. She found the issue quickly and provided us with several options depending upon how aggressive or conservative I wanted to be with his treatment. I was not expecting that and I really appreciated it. When it came time to pay the bill, I was surprised at how reasonably priced the treatment was given the excellent level of service we received. My dog has a new vet. Thank you, Dr. Green.
July 30 · DanaI recently took my dog to this vet to get treatment for canine compulsive disorder (long history of decreased quality of life due to shadow chasing, leaf chasing, and also negative reactivity to a wide variety of stimuli including people, other dogs, and even things such as airplanes). We came seeking medication to address these issues as our last resort, as I’ve tried every form of behavioral modification I know after extensive research for many years. Our experience at this vet was extremely negative. I do not feel like the veterinarian on staff was receptive of the issues I had to speak of. She told me that there were “holes in my story” with my previous vets, although I brought a different vet form that clearly states this dog was diagnosed with OCD in years prior. Ultimately, she did not think or understand that my dog’s OCD was negatively impacting his life although I thoroughly explained how it was. When asked for advice on what to do, the only thing she said was that he required active stimulation (exercise) for at least an hour a day and that he should just be on a farm. I had already explained to her that this is a hunting dog that gets 4 training sessions a day with wide open play on open lots with at least 2-3 hours of active training a day. I felt disrespected throughout our conversation and felt that she thought I was lying to her about his symptoms. Attached is a video that shows what I was explaining to her, and as you can see he is much more inclined to chase his shadow than train or even to play fetch, which he loves to do on cloudy days with no shadows. Why would I lie about my own dog’s symptoms? Why would I come back for further examinations after being told there are holes in my story about my dogs veterinary and medical history? Medication in the form of fluoxetine has been cited in veterinary journals to alleviate canine compulsive disorder, I did not see any form of consideration from the vet for this option during our conversation. I am extremely frustrated and feel disrespected that I did not receive any form of consideration for medication or other help, that I was suggested to be lying about my own pet, and that this dog needs to be on a farm?? He receives more care and attention than most do (at least 4 training sessions which span for about 2-3 hours total a day), so is the best option you have for me to give him to a farm or play with him for an hour a day? In my opinion, this is an unprofessional and uneducated approach to a serious veterinary issue.
January 14 · Joshua KimDr. Solomon is so sweet and always given us reassurance at her practice. She is very transparent with cost breakdowns, and honest with all explanations. Her prices are extremely fair and her expertise is top notch. Thank you for providing us with amazing veterinary care :)
June 23 · Martika Johanson-MurrayWonderful care for my pittie! The vet is highly knowledgeable and straightforward. Prices are very accessible, office is no-frills, very clean, and appointments are kept (no waiting!). They have never tried to upsell me any in-house products or kibble like at my previous vet/franchise. Shout out to Wesley for always being so kind, patient, and empathetic. My dog goes crazy for him every single time and the love is reciprocated - sorry for all the face licks ☀️🐶
