---Primary Veterinary Care, as its name suggests and client reviews imply, focuses on providing essential and comprehensive health services vital for the well-being of pets. While a fully exhaustive list might require direct consultation or visiting their official website, based on common veterinary practices and client experiences, they reliably offer:
Wellness Examinations: Routine annual check-ups are foundational for preventive care, as indicated by a client bringing their baby Loki for his "yearly checkup." These exams include thorough physical assessments, monitoring growth and development, and discussions about overall health, nutrition, and lifestyle.
Vaccinations: Administration of necessary vaccines to protect pets from common infectious diseases prevalent in the Louisiana region. Vaccination schedules are tailored to the individual pet's age, species, and risk factors.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses: Comprehensive services for diagnosing and managing a wide array of medical conditions. The successful attempt to "get ahold of his seasonal allergies that have just gotten so out of control" for Loki demonstrates their capability in treating chronic or acute illnesses.
Parasite Prevention and Control: Diagnosis, treatment, and preventive measures for common internal and external parasites such as fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal worms, which are significant concerns for pets in Louisiana's climate.
Minor Procedures and Basic Services: This would include common procedures like "nail trimming," as mentioned in a review, indicating they provide routine maintenance services alongside medical care.
Medication Dispensing: Providing necessary medications for various conditions, including those for allergies or other ailments, as highlighted by the "cost for the visit/medications" being reasonable.
Nutritional Counseling: Guidance on appropriate diets, weight management, and nutritional supplements to address specific health concerns or optimize general well-being.
Microchipping: Offering microchip implantation as a vital form of permanent identification, significantly increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners.
Client Education and Support: They are noted for listening to and validating "All questions and concerns," which implies a strong commitment to educating pet owners about their pet's health and care plans.
Primary Veterinary Care stands out for several key features and highlights that are consistently praised by clients, making it a highly attractive choice for pet owners in Gretna and across Louisiana.

This makes quality veterinary care accessible to a broader range of pet families.
Respectful and Valued Client Interactions: Clients highlight that they've "always treated us the same with respect" and that "All questions and concerns were listened to and validated." Nov 02, 2024 · Herman GoldenMy husband brought in our baby Loki for his yearly checkup and to try to get ahold of his seasonal allergies that have just gotten so out of control. I really wanted to be there, but couldn't get off work. But honestly, based on what my husband told me about the visit, we will never take our baby anywhere else! Everyone was so kind and caring. All questions and concerns were listened to and validated. Also cost for the visit/medications was very reasonable. Despite Loki's nail trimming shenanigans (sorry ya'll). It was a great visit and I cannot recommend this office enough!

Jul 26, 2024 · roy scottOur dog Henry has allergies that really make him feel awful. The scratching was horrible. Dr.Sarah found a medication that has made him a happy boy. We are so happy to have him feeling better. Thanks to Dr Sarah for caring so much about him.
Jan 31, 2025 · Rhonda MartinI am so thankful for this veterinary clinic. I brought my dogs to them for the first time earlier this month. They were all very kind and understanding. They were very friendly and comforting. They also were very sweet two my two fur babies. Both of my pups wasn't themselves for a couple months but id didn't know why. I thought they were just getting older. Turns out they needed dental work. One of them had a bad dental infection and needed surgery. I will say Dr. Bryan is an amazing surgeon and person, he got the infection out and shorten my babies jaw but you can barely tell anything was done. Three weeks later my lil guy is back to himself living happy and healthy. My other pup had a few teeth pulled but also had a fatty growth removed from his chest. Dr Bryan performed these surgeries as well and again he did an amazing job. The cut for the removal is almost gone and you would not think there was surgery done there. He also had to remove a couple teeth from him and again my baby is back to his self. Living happy and healthy. They both sleep so much better and soundly now. Dr Bryan and the staff was very helpful in the follow up care and even had me bring them back for checkups to make sure everything was right. Dr. Bryan seems to be a kind and caring person and does his best for the patients and their people. He did his best to explain everything to me and answered all my questions and did his best to help me thru everything. I also think their care exceeds what they charge they were just all-around wonderful to me.Thank y'all again for everything and I can't see myself going to another vet.
