Veterinary care, Animal hospital ★4.0

I had to bring in my 15-year-old Shih Tzu, JoJo, as he was actively dying. My daughter and I were in tears, but we were left sitting in the lobby while he seized in my arms. No one offered privacy, comfort, or even acknowledged our grief for far too long. I held my dog as he lost control of his body in front of strangers, and only then did someone hand me a pad. I was even told his body would be put “in the freezer” until I decided what to do.The only compassion we received was from the veterinarian at the very end, who was kind and gentle with JoJo. For that, I am thankful. But the lack of empathy from the staff made the worst day of my life even more traumatic.Families deserve dignity when saying goodbye to their pets. Sadly, we didn’t get that here - Kari Luna
