The Animal Clinic of Marine Park is located at 3616 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234, USA. This address places it squarely within the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, a residential area known for its strong community feel. For residents in Marine Park and surrounding areas such as Gerritsen Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and Flatlands, the clinic offers a convenient, local option for veterinary care.
Quentin Road is a primary thoroughfare in this section of Brooklyn, making the clinic relatively easy to locate and access for those traveling by car. While parking in New York City can be challenging, residential neighborhoods like Marine Park often provide more street parking availability compared to densely commercial districts. For pet owners who rely on public transportation, various local bus routes serve the Quentin Road area, offering connections to subway lines (such as the B or Q at Kings Highway or Avenue U, which would require a bus transfer or a longer walk). This connectivity allows a broader range of Brooklyn residents to consider the clinic for their pet's needs.
The clinic's presence in a residential community fosters a sense of local service, making it a familiar and accessible point of care for neighborhood pets. This is particularly beneficial for routine visits, but also for urgent situations where proximity to a veterinary facility can be critical. - Customer Service Improvements (Mixed Reviews): One review mentions that "the staff in the front changed as well & I have to say have been even better and more helpful," suggesting efforts towards improving client experience.
- However, a significant highlight is the negative experience regarding end-of-life services, specifically the cremation process and the handling of memorial items (paw-print and nose-print). This points to critical issues with communication, empathy, accountability, and potentially pricing transparency during sensitive times. Customers reported being "scammed out of money," feeling a "shocking lack of empathy and accountability," and a "transactional mess" during a vulnerable moment, indicating that while a range of services may be offered, the delivery and customer experience, particularly in emotionally charged situations, can be severely lacking.

The Animal Clinic of Marine Park, located at 3616 Quentin Rd, Brooklyn, NY 11234, positions itself as a comprehensive veterinary care provider for local pet owners in the Marine Park and surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods. For New Yorkers, the clinic's accessibility via local roads and public transport offers a convenient option for managing their pet's health needs, from routine wellness to more serious medical conditions.
The clinic's suitability for locals stems from its broad range of services, including general examinations, low-cost immunizations, affordable spay/neuter procedures, and the availability of urgent care during business hours. These offerings are crucial for pet owners seeking accessible and varied veterinary options within their community. The utilization of advanced diagnostic tools like X-ray and ultrasound, along with in-house lab services, suggests a commitment to thorough and timely diagnoses, which is a vital component of modern pet care.
However, it is imperative for local pet owners to carefully consider the varied customer experiences when evaluating Animal Clinic of Marine Park. While the clinic aims to provide comprehensive care and offers affordability in certain areas, the highly critical feedback regarding the handling of end-of-life services, specifically surrounding cremation, memorial items, and perceived lack of empathy and accountability, is a significant concern. The emotional weight of losing a pet necessitates a high degree of compassion, transparency, and attention to detail, and the reported experiences highlight a potential shortfall in these critical areas during a pet owner's most vulnerable moments.
Therefore, while the Animal Clinic of Marine Park offers a wide array of general and specialized veterinary services, and may be a convenient option for some routine needs, prospective clients, especially those anticipating sensitive or complex procedures, should conduct thorough research and perhaps consider the detailed customer feedback. For locals prioritizing comprehensive care and affordability for routine services, the clinic may be a suitable choice. However, for those who deeply value transparent communication, unwavering empathy, and meticulous attention to detail during every aspect of their pet's care, particularly during emotionally challenging times, a comprehensive understanding of past client experiences at this specific clinic will be essential in making their ultimate decision.

Animal Clinic of Marine Park Reviews
A couple of weeks ago, May 20th to be exact, I had to put my dog down due to her health declining. We went to the Animal Clinic of Marine Park where they charged me and my mother $350 for her cremation. While we were in the room mourning, I explained to the doctor and nurse present that I wanted her PAW-PRINT and NOSE-PRINT for a tattoo. They obliged and said okay. I walk up to the front and the lady changes the price from $350 to $450, they charged us an extra $100 dollars for something I've heard from others that they have gotten free. I paid the money that day, on the receipt it mentions a PAW-PRINT and a NOSE-PRINT. Although I feel like I don't have to explain this but clearly I do because some people are incoherent, a print of any kind is the hands/feet/paws of a person/pet dipped into ink and stamped down on a blank piece of paper. When me and my mom received the ashes June 4th, they only provided a NOSE-PRINT and instead of a PAW-PRINT, they gave me a clay mold of her paw. This is not what I paid for nor is this what I wanted. The dog is cremated, we cannot bring her back and recreate the paw-print. They really messed this up for me. We called the clinic the next day, and they had no print at all, and tried to have us contact the crematorium for their mistake. Finally after speaking to the vet himself, he made us return the nose-print in order for us to get a full refund, because you know in their eyes they didn't mess up fully, they only messed up half of what I wanted so they were only going to refund me half if I didn't provide the nose-print. They completely scammed me out of my money and they completely ruined what should've been a heartwarming mourning moment with my family over the loss of what I considered another family member, my dog Nala.
Jun 06, 2025 · Anthony Paige Jrdo not bring your pet here if you want a respectful and compassionate goodbye. they turned what should have been a moment of closure and love into an upsetting, transactional mess for my best friend’s family. they completely failed to deliver what his family had asked for and handled it with a shocking lack of empathy and accountability. nala was a beloved family member to my friend’s family and they were scammed out of a final memory they can never get back. avoid this place at all cost if you value respect, honestly, and compassion during ur most vulnerable moments.
Jun 06, 2025 · Sam CrispinoDr saved my cats life! So refreshing to find a Dr that actually cares about the furbaby, and not about the money, AND knows what he’s talking about! So, for 3 years, and thousands of dollars later, my cat has been misdiagnosed by multiple vets. They’ve been telling me that he keeps peeing outside the litter box because he’s stressed, and it’s causing cystitis. They even prescribed him prozac. On Friday I came in crying because my cat hadn’t peed in 24 hours, wasn’t eating, and his whole body was cramping up from pain. I was really panicking. The Dr said he needs an immediate unblocking procedure because his bladder was huge, and afterwards he would need a surgery to widen his urethra because he actually has a genetic condition NOT stress, and that’s why he’s peeing outside the litter box and keeps having issues. However, Dr told me he couldn’t do the procedure for a few hours, and since this was urgent he sent me to the nearby ER. I didn’t have a carrier because I’m in the process of moving and I don’t know where anything is, so he sent his assistant to find one for me, which was so sweet. And they didn’t charge me anything.I get to the ER and they tell me it will cost 5k-7k for the unblockage + he needs to stay hospitalized for 36-72 hrs, so it could be even more! This didn’t even include the surgery that he needs!!! I called the vet back, hysterically crying because where am I supposed to find all this money, and I’m panicking because they told me his bladder could burst any minute and he’s at risk of complications, so at this point I think I’m going to bury my baby today. So, the Dr told me to come back, and he would do the procedure himself, he charged me a very very reasonable price including the antibiotics I had to give him at home. Dr told me to call the next day and keep him posted about my baby and we would do the surgery on Tuesday. Today, Sunday, when they’re closed the receptionist called, and said that he would be able to squeeze my baby in tomorrow (Monday). She said the Dr told her to come in and give me a call, even though they’re closed. The unblockage, surgery, and meds here, are going to cost me a 1/4 of what they were quoting me at the ER.I can not even begin to explain how grateful I am that I was referred to this clinic, and how much I appreciate this doctor. Also, the receptionist girls and the doctors assistants are sooo sweet. Even though I’m moving to NJ, I’m only bringing my furchildren here from now on. I’m so fed up with vets experimenting on my kids for crazy money.(pic of my relieved baby on our way home after the initial procedure, i was so happy to see him feeling better after spending an entire morning panicking and crying:))Thank you guys🩷🩷🩷
Dec 01, 2024 · Nicole RoffReally good doctor to be honest, but the ladies on the front desk are really bad they are not friendly and they treat you like you are a ghost even when you pay they just throw the card on the desk, I have been in this place for years and I’m surprised how they treat people in the front desk hopefully they make a change on that, besides that I have big respect to the doctor he saved my cats live around 5 years ago and I appreciate that.
