Flatbush Veterinary Clinic Reviews
Flatbush Vet – Genuine Care for Pets & CommunityI first brought my dog Missy to Flatbush Vet last year to get her spayed and vaccinated, and the care was excellent. This year, I was invited to their nonprofit community event, where Missy received a free wellness check and her Bordetella shot from Dr. Priscilla Naula, who was so gentle and kind. The event was well-organized, on time, and filled with compassion. Special shout-out to Porche, one of the volunteers who personally helped me—she was amazing. They also gave out pet pantry supplies to support local families. I’m so thankful to Flatbush Vet for the love and care they show both pets and the community!
May 26, 2025 · J MAlright, buckle up bros, because I just had the most surprisingly good experience at Flatbush Vet, and my newly-snipped sidekick is currently snoring contentedly beside me to prove it!Listen, I went in there this week for the other big "N" word (neutering, for the faint of heart!), fully expecting the usual vet clinic chaos. You know the drill: stressed pets, harried staff, and a bill that makes your eyes water. But HOLD. THE. PAW.This place was hopping. Seriously, there were more people and pets than at a dog park during golden hour. And yet? It was like watching a well-oiled, furry, four-legged machine. Every single staff member I interacted with was an absolute pro – helpful, genuinely friendly, and knew their stuff inside and out. They answered all my nervous-parent questions with a smile and made both me and my pup feel completely at ease. Now for the kicker. You know how you brace yourself for the bill after a procedure like this, mentally preparing to sell a kidney or two? Well, folks, the price here was not twice, not thrice, but FIVE TIMES LESS than every other vet I checked with in Manhattan. FIVE TIMES! I practically did a little happy dance right there at the counter.Honestly, in a world where animal shelters are overflowing with sweet souls, it feels criminal to charge exorbitant prices for spaying and neutering. This vet clinic is out there doing the Lord's work, making responsible pet ownership accessible. They are non-profit and work thru donations. So, if you're looking for top-notch care for your pooch or feline, a fantastic team, and prices that won't make you sob into your kibble, get yourself and your furry friend over to here. They're clearly doing something incredibly right. My little guy is recovering like a champ. We got him home and within 2 days he's back to his usual antics.Ten out of ten would snip here again (though hopefully not on this dog!).
Apr 26, 2025 · Mark TurnerOur family has visited the clinic four times with three pets. We have received multiple services offered- from spaying to vaccines and microchipping, to injury. Every time has been hassle free, friendly, clean, polite, informative, helpful, and very very helpful financially. All of the staff from reception to doctor is wonderful. We are so thrilled and grateful they exist. It’s what all animals and people deserve!
Feb 08, 2025 · Lisa HamiltonI took my ancient (19 y/o) cat here for a senior blood panel to monitor her kidney disease. I was very distraught because a previous vet had basically told me that she was suffering and in pain. The vet techs that took her blood and her urine were very kind and understanding, and gave her a churu even though she was cranky. Dr. Small is extremely knowledgeable and empathetic, and took time to give my cat a once over and let me know that she is still healthy despite her age and kidney disease. I wanted to discuss putting her on prozac as well for her suspected dementia and Dr. Small made sure I explored every avenue, even if it meant visiting another vet's office. He did research on his own time and emailed me about it. I've had my cat since she was 6 weeks old, and she's the most important part of my life. The time and compassion shown by the staff here was really refreshing. I had been so upset and sad thinking my cat was suffering that I started crying during her exam, but I was put at ease with how kind and thorough they were. It was incredibly reassuring. I'm glad I live close by but even if I didn't I'd travel to come here.
