Request for Clarification and Refund of Unexpected ChargesI want to begin by thanking you and your team for the care and attention you provided to my dog during his recent stay. I truly appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the doctors and staff. However, I am writing to seek clarification regarding some unexpected charges on my final bill. When I booked boarding, I was informed the cost would be $75 per day plus a $90 exam fee, which I agreed to. At that time, I also explained that my dog has epilepsy, is on new medication that may take a few weeks to take effect, and that he might experience seizures during his stay.During his boarding, he did have two seizures, and medication was administered accordingly. However, I was surprised to see an additional $40 charge labeled “boarding exam” on the final bill. This fee was never disclosed or discussed with me before or during the stay. Since we already paid a $90 boarding exam fee at the time of boarding, I kindly request a refund for the $40 charge. At no time was I told any additional exams for any reason would be done during his stay.Additionally, some of my dog’s belongings—specifically two food bowls and his pill pockets—were not returned to me.I value the care your team provided and hope these concerns can be addressed promptly. I would also appreciate greater transparency regarding any potential additional charges in the future to avoid confusion.Thank you very much for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.Best regards, Maria (owner of Winston ) - Maria Santory
